We're gone.

Championship time.

Are we balls, Bolton will go down not us.

Whey aye.  Plenty of time left. No more games against Liverpool either.

Partly wanting him out in the Summer now to be perfectly honest. I just don't know if he's capable enough of running this club the way it should be. We should have got genuine class in to replace Allardyce, not living off past glories.

right so, Mort has appointed a manager who you think should be sacked come summer

and you dont think his tenure as chairman thus far has been a joke?

If you don't get the results you deserved to be sacked.

At least allardyce got some points!

SA should not have been sacked till summer anyway.

Allardyce would not have picked up any points in this period of games either.

I'd truly love to know if Keegan has his hands tied in selecting the squad by "if fit, must play" clauses.  I just can't conceive how some of our squad even get on the bench, let alone the pitch, and I truly wonder whether Keegan doesn't have a choice for some sort of contractual reason.

Come on man, I'm as confused about the selections as anyone, but that's just bollocks.

I find the concept hard to believe as well man, but if we reject the conclusion that Keegan is incompetent we need to start looking for other reasons.  Contract issues is one possible reason and in the case of Smith, interference from Ashley is another (remember who was on his shirt when he first came to the club).  Keegan's selections defy all logic and we need (for our own sanity) to try and work out what is the cause of these bizarre selections is.

It should be noted that improved selections probably won't get us in to the top half of the table, but it'd probably keep us out of the relegation fight at least.

Sigh.  Martins gets into a good position and didn't look like he knew what to do,

It was 1 on 3 tbf. Our other players don't bother with stuff like supporting an attacker.

Spurs were rightly criticised for their handling of it, but they brought in a top class, consistently successful in many competitions from a foreign club on a similar level to them. They stuck at it and got their man and are now reaping the rewards.

We should have put similar effort in or even just gone for someone like Deschamps, who is a decent manager and far more up to date with the modern game than Keegan is. Why didn't we even try for the likes of Mourinho etc?

Exactly. And this is what we called for throughout the years of Souness and Rouder, but quickly forgotten on this forum when Keegan came into the picture. But it's not just Keegan's ineptitude that got us in trouble, it's also a bunch of players who don't give a damn. Though I very much doubt Keegan's got the balls to turn that around.

There is no room for sentiment in football and we are paying for it. I cringed when KK was appointed when rumours of Deschamps were being floated around. This is football Rocky fuking Balboa style without the triumph
