Tsunami Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 I've reset the poll as Milner is out. Most people wanted 442 with Owen & Martins up front & Emre in midfield in front of Butt or Barton. I can't see how we can play both Owen & Martins against Brum. With Milner out I can see Duff starting on the right or just behind the front man who I'd have as Martins, KK will pick Owen. Yes, terrified at that thought. I have a feeling he will though. He's building up Viduka, won't drop his Captain but will want to start Oba. I know Keegan is a 4-4-2 man, however i think a 4-3-3 formation would work against Brum ............................Harps............................ Beye..........Faye...............Cacapa...............Enrique ...............................Butt.................................... .....................Geremi............Barton..................... Martins.........................................................Zog ..........................Viduka...................................... I might even go as far as playing Smith from the start to wear the brum defenders out and not give them a second, bringing on a fresh (and i use that term loosely) Viduka to add a bit of class around tired defenders Wont happen though as i don't have little Mickey in, and he is a cert to start Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Conjo Posted March 15, 2008 Share Posted March 15, 2008 If Emre's out, then we simply can't play Butt-Geremi, Butt-Faye or Geremi-Faye in central midfield. We need someone who can make -something- happen, so either N'Zogbia or Barton has to play, no matter how poorly some people think about Barton, he has at least made two or three very good passes each game he has played that could have resulted in a goal oppertunity.
