Other clubs' transfers

And yet they've had a third bid for Bellamy turned down and bid £3m for Given. Weird.

It might make Shay think twice about a move though.  Looking at the money they are throwing around he could well go there and end up as backup to a really big name.

Normally that would be unthinkable but Man City are no normal club.  What's £3m for a reserve keeper to these people?

Seems to me like Mark Hughes had absolutely fuck all input into the Kaka deal. He claimed he did but that didn't add up at all with the rest of the things he was saying- "I'm not sure what stage the deal is at", "it's apparent that talks have been ongoing for a while" etc

They've probably given him a relatively small transfer pot to go after whoever he wants while the Sheikh plays Football Manager with the real money.

Associated Press: Spokesman says Kaka has been authorised to speak to Manchester City.

So it looks like Milan have accepted it now...just down to the player.

If he says yes, he's  c*** for having no ambitions, but if he says no he's a stupid c*** for not taking that load of money in duffelbags!

The most annoying thing about all of this Kaka transfer is if it is going aswell as they seem to think he will make his debut against us

If this was Newcastle '07, Shepherd would have drove him to Manchester never mind authorise him to speak to them .

Don't go along with this. He's won everything there is going in Italy, including the Champions League, and playing in the Premiership might be an ambition. Given the current climate, who else could afford to give him that chance apart from City?

People keep making the latter point, but he's already rich beyond any of our wildest dreams and he's supposedly a pretty humble guy.

Get the feeling Platini's proposals to make football "fairer" will suddenly be a lot more appealing...

Doesn't matter how rich you are, if somebody is offering you hundreds of thousands of pounds (half a million?) per week, there's no way you're going to turn it down like.

Well he has probably more money than he needs and his best friends and family probably lives there, he loves playing for his club. Who wouldn't rather live in Milano instead of Manchester?

If i had the choice i would rather play for NUFC for 50K/week than for say 100k/week for Manchester City..

Kaka comes from really rich family so unlike many brazilian players money isn't, and never was an issue for him.

He donates 10% of his weekly wage to the Church though, so maybe "God" will tell him to join man City..

I don't think City owners are that rich.

Be intresting to know if the Arabs are paying the whack like Jack Walker or doing a Steve Gibson/Roman & just stacking the debt against the club.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't cash up-front. Very surprised.
