I'm a big fan of Llorente but doubt it will happen. This window has been shocking for us so far and if we actually do manage to sign a striker, i think it will be Pav and Keane out with Elmander replacing them. Fair play for shifting stories about swan eating asylum seekers and why we're being run by a gay mafia, but beyond that, the usual level of scepticism is required. There's a clause in his contract that would raise it to €50m although it doesn't seem it's been triggered. Pretty sure Spurs could get him for €36m. It's very rare for a Spanish club to hold out for the entire clause (fee+taxes) for a non-rival club, since they wouldn't be getting any extra money themselves. Bilbao is the most English club in La Liga and Llorente is the improved version of the quintessential Bilbao forward so pretty sure he'll adapt well to the PL. Don't expect 20+ goals a season though.
