Wolves have signed Stephen Hunt from Hull. Their policy of signing relegated players could be their savour, or lead to their downfall imo.

Stephen Hunt's a very good signing, as is Petrov for Bolton IMO. Both players we should have been looking at.

Very good signing but i thought they should have gone for a player who is a bit younger and better imo, Eagles.

Easy if it works they can take credit and if it does not they will blame the new board. :)

:spit:

I wish NE5 was here now  :clap2:

I keep seeing people mentioning this NE5 personnage. Guess some post search is in order.

I wouldn't.

Looks like Bolton have completed the signing of Petrov.

Definitely a player we should be in for. Especially if Bolton can afford his wage demands.

Age, injury problems and a winger is not a priority.

Petrov can't win matches if he is injured for half the season. Also, if we are working on a limited budget with a wage cap we shouldn't be signing players for positions we already have filled. We have several players who can play on the wings and the priority has to be a striker, central midfielder and defensive cover.

Furthermore, he is 31 and will have been given at least a two-year, if not three-year, contract at Bolton. Is he really going to be a match winner at the age of 33 in two years time?

Sam Allardyce ear-marked by Al Ahli as man to put Middle Eastern football on the map

Sam Allardyce could be in line for a multi-million-pound switch to Dubai club Al Ahli to help put Middle East club football on the world map.

Allardyce could be the beneficiary of the club’s failed attempts to land Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp and Italian international supremo Marcello Lippi.

But the Blackburn boss had already figured highly on the Arabs’ radar even to the extent of discreet approaches from advisors acting for the billionaire outfit.

Allardyce had a fantastic season at Ewood Park, guiding Rovers to mid-table in the Premier League on a shoestring budget.

He would find transfer cash less difficult to obtain at a club determined to tempt some of the world’s biggest names with mind-numbing wages.

The Dubai club, known as the Red Knights, are owned by the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheik Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.

Can see this pleasing a few people  ;D
