NewJerseyMag
Well condsidering he was an odious little **** during his time as a player, I dont suppose he suddenly changed now. I seem to recollect him kicking in taxi doors and that he was viewed as the "Barton" of his day. So now we have him running the club? He seems like the prime candidate to have as chief negotiator, sign for us or I will kick for *****ing head in??
arnonel
<TIN HAT ON> They are talking about it on TalkSport @ the moment and it is a good point, he has brought in some good players and quietly got on with the job he was brought in to do. So, what is everyones problem with him? </TIN HAT OFF> born in london. the rest is "hear say"
Guest The Libertine
nothing we know of. the things we do know suggest he's doing a good job. but scapegoat + kneejerk..... And the fact he is hated by all from his time as a player Roy Keane was a bit of a b******, now he's a decent manager. there are many examples of hated players doing well after they retire. keane isn't a decent manger. He buys shit players for stupid money. he is though. his transfer record is a bit questionable, but he's young, still learning and will be a very good manager in the future. Elliottman
Malcom Macdonald, has told this story a few times. That kk was told to wait in his office for Wise. That wise kept him waiting for ages, then barged into his office and laid the law down to him, in an agressive manner, he would never accept anyone speaking to himself. Spoke to kk like he was a fool Macdonald, challenged the club to deny this, or libel him for saying it.....they didnt ...so... id never heard that story, pretty shocking if true. Guest Baxter
Wise should never have been appointed in the position he's in. He doesn't have the credentials for it (or the status - see the Modric incident where Modric seemed to choose to sign for Spurs than go out to lunch with him), all this talk of a 'European type management structure' was ridiculous with someone like him in a pivotal position. Him and Keegan working together in any kind of way with Wise having a say on who was at the club was never going to work. There was nothing wrong in principle with the management structure Ashley was trying to bring in. There was everything wrong with the way the whole thing was done, the evident lack of communication throughout and the basic lack of respect / bordering on contempt shown to Keegan. He was made to look a complete tit over the Milner sale and the transfer deadline situation. It seem clear that if Milner hadn't been sold he would still be there - he was given some indication that signings were imminent (Malouda? Not that he's any good but he is at least some kind of name) and they didn't materialise. How much Wise is directly responsible for is not clear but look at what's happened over the last three weeks and draw your own conclusions.

Guest Howaythetoon
What has he done right? What is it he actually does or has done? What is the point of Dennis Wise or his role if the results are no manager, a paper thin squad, lack of quality in critical areas and our record signing and main man when it comes to scoring goals still unsigned to a new deal? Guest Toon Barmy
What he has done, and it is well documented that Wise is responsible for bringing in and shipping out players, is he has alowed us to start a new season with 20 recognised first team players (including the players he has brought in). Show me one team that has finihed in the top 12 of the prem over the last 5 years that has only 20 first team players, thats less than 2 players per position. That is not only lack of competition but a lack of cover. Out of those 20, 10 are currently injured or banned.
