I like how it says Kinnear will have no money, when Kinnear has already said some money will be made available, or did I imagine that?

Roy Keane has done a brilliant job at Sunderland after he took over the club and Im not trying to sound sarcastic here. I dont know why Sunderland might be thinking of firing him.

MIKE ASHLEY DEBT SHOCK

Billionaire Toon boss hasn't paid off the full £100million

By MARTIN HARDY, 29/11/2008

WOULD-BE buyers of Newcastle have been told Mike Ashley has NOT cleared all of the club’s debt.

A potential buy-out collapsed 10 days ago with Ashley unable to agree a fee with an American company.

It had been thought that the Sports Direct billionaire had wiped out the £100million debt he inherited from outgoing chairman Freddy Shepherd last year.

But Sport of the World has learned that he has, in fact, only serviced part of that figure.

Now Ashley, who gave Joe Kinnear a contract until the end of the season on Friday, may return to full power.

He has not been to a game at St James’ Park since his spectacular row with Kevin Keegan in September.

But he has told Kinnear he believes the way will be cleared for a dramatic return if he spends in the January transfer window.

Kinnear said: “Mike has suggested to me he will come back and I’ve said to him: ‘Why not? It’s still your club.’

“He said: ‘Once everything dies down I’ll see.’

“I think he will come to games again and I would like him to get a good reception.”

It is all PR building.

JFK insult KK about training & see if that pisses the mob off.

Wisey  popping up Norf to show his face around the training ground to see if any KK sympathizers in the squad say out.

He then shows his face at a reserve game at SJP.  Then Dennis pops up at 1st team game at Stamford Bridge.

JFK mentioning more & more about Ashley coming back to games. It all leads to Ashley showing his face at game around Crimbo.

JFK said in an interview with Andy Dunn in NOTW "“Previous training was more or less the old five-a-sides and head tennis. There was probably other stuff as well but we’ve tightened up on sessions and I think they have gone down very well.”

I have found the link, IIRC it was from a few weeks ago: http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/65112/FANS-FIGHT-FRIENDSHIP-FAITH-Joe-Kinnear-reveals-his-new-Toon-F-words.html

A good few papers are running the "Ashley return" stories. Suppose we'll see if there's any substance to it.

Perhaps he'll give Wise the bullet to appease supporters and then take his seat back at SJP. Plenty will buy it.
