West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

dont understand peopel saying they dont want him back.

It we keep Ba/ cisse he will be an excellent addition.

If we lose one of them, he will be an essential replacement.

Because he's only suited to play either in a 4-4-2 or in the centre of a 4-3-3 (which is our best formation IMO). There aren't many strikers in the world I'd move Cissé for, and Carroll certainly isn't one of them.

Cisse playing off carol knock downs could be f***ing devastating.

That would mean Ba isn't playing though, and Ba is twice the player Carroll is.

We have a whole european campaign to play as well as FA cup and league cup games.

Our fixture list next season is going to be massive.

its almost beyond belief that a fan of this club- the f***ing problems weve had down the years, dosent understand the need for more than simply a first choice forward line up.

Its mental.

Do you not think this may just be Ashley & Pardew taking the p**s out of Liverpool and having a public laugh at their expense ?

They'd have sh*t a brick if they'd said "OK"

Update: BBC Radio 5 reported on Sunday night that Liverpool had dismissed Newcastle's offer as "not close to their requirements".

Which is fucking ridiculous. Who do they think they are? Expecting actual money for him? Real money. Cash?!!? Fucking Jokers.

Is it mental to not want to spend our wage budget on a player that can only play in a position where we are well covered? Get a player who can be back up for Ben Arfa's or Ba's position instead, not Cissé's where we've got two more players who can do a job there.

Not to mention that Carroll is a fucking prick and not a very good footballer.

Why are people talking about where Carroll would play or start? Fact is we need an extra striker but there is no chance in hell of him starting.

No chance, he's a plan B and Best's replacement ( if we get him) but that's it.

Our best team will still involve Ba, Cisse, Ben Arfa and Carroll on the bench.

I'm not at all convinced that Ba will be here for next season.

Hes obviously still thought well of by the board and pardew otherwise we wouldn't have spoken to him or Liverpool.

We also have to have differnt ways to play when things dont work for us.  Ive got no problem with him coming back, if that eventually happens. Big season coming up for us.

Lets persue other players now and come back to this as a very last resort please.

you cant simply say that, theres so many knocks, missed games , the I word im not typing, the african pot, loss of form. endless reasons why you cant just say they will be our starting two- im just hoping they are still here for ferking starters.

By the way, following Debuchy and De Jong is this the third time we've had a bid dismissed as "not serious" this summer?

Oh i know, i'm aware Carroll will start games due to AFCON, injuries, lack of fitness etc etc. Pardew said there will be rotation and this is the case here.

All i'm saying is if everyone is fit then Carroll wont be starting.

At least this shows Ashley/Llambias have a good sense of humour. Sell player, buy whole team, re-buy player for much lower price. Net Spend around £10m.
