Aye he was there, its in the Liverpool Echo over here. My tutor at Uni saw him near where he lives in Allerton a few hours after tucking into a Domino's. Really random that, not typically where any of the Liverpool or Everton players live.

22 years old and needs babysitting.

 I can picture him acting like an over-excited 8 year old at this momentous Boyzone concert, and King Kenny having to hold him down in his seat as he gets a bit too raucous.

I can imagine kicking the shit out of a 12-year old kid because Words isn't their favourite Boyzone song.

might be a cheap shot, but I hope Carroll gets seriously injured asap.

I don't. I hope he's fit and healthy and doesn't score a single goal.

Which may happen, after all the holy trinity of          Carroll

Nolan          Barton                      is what made Carroll what he is, without them I know he'll be shit.

Smile an ever lasting smile

a smile  which your goals gave to me

You had your own personal song

The Geordies cheered you on, Andy

But now you’ve lost your glory

let's start a brand new story

now Carroll

You knew that  our shit chairman

would not pay

It's only cash

and cash is all they had

to take your heart away

Paid in ever lasting pounds

and dedicate them to the thieves

and you will give up all your life

The Geordie hero you could have been

You knew that our shit chairman

would not pay

It's only cash

and cash is all they had

to take your heart away

It's only cash

and cash is all they had

to take your heart away

da da da da da da da

da da da da da da da da da da

da da da da da da da

da da da da da da da da da da

But now you’ve lost your glory

Leon and Peters scoring,

and Shola

You knew that  our shit chairman

would not pay

It's only cash

and cash is all they had

to take your heart away

It's only cash

and cash is all they had

to take your heart away

It's only cash

and cash is all they had

to take your heart away

The week after the deal I was listening to the Guardian podcast and they were going back and forth about how Carroll would fare at Liverpool. One of them was claiming that you really didn't need anyone who could cross the ball with Carroll-- he made the crosses look good.  And I was thinking why Carroll never seemed to do anything for Jonas or Routledge...

;D

And of course now that Carroll is gone Jonas is getting his crosses into Best.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has played down reports that striker Andy Carroll will be fit to make his debut in Sunday's game against West Ham.

Carroll, who joined Liverpool from Newcastle in January for a club record fee of £35m, has not featured for his new club because of a thigh problem.

Dalglish said: "He is close to full training. I don't think he's quite ready for a game yet."Andy's progress has been exactly what we'd anticipated."

Carroll, 22, has not played since Newcastle's 2-0 defeat by Tottenham on 28 December.

And Dalglish told the Liverpool's official website that "he's still got a bit to go before he'll be considered for a match".

Newcastle had sent Carroll to Dubai in the hope of accelerating his recovery with a warm-weather break and the forward had been due to visit a tendon repair specialist in Sweden before he moved to Liverpool on the final day of the January transfer window.

Dalglish, whose side face Sparta Prague in the second leg of their round of 32 Europa League tie at Anfield on Thursday, insisted he is being patient with his new signing.

"Andy has been involved with the lads for parts of the training but there's no need to get carried away, there's not going to be a surprise announcement that he's playing tomorrow night," added Dalglish.

"He has done very well. The first day he signed we said we would be patient with him and we will continue to do that. For us, he has done everything that has been asked of him."

Liverpool drew 0-0 in the first leg against Sparta Prague and Dalglish said he "might have a decision to make" regarding whether to play skipper Steven Gerrard, who has been struggling with a groin problem.

"He is that close that we might have a decision to make, whether we take a chance or leave him," revealed Dalglish. "We've not to come to that stage yet, but that could be what we're faced with tomorrow."

-----------

By the time he gets fit then match fit its going to be well into March which will be 3/4 months since his last competitive game, im satisfied with the £35m
