Skeletor
Ryan Taylor @TaylorR1984 “@SeanMcdonald07: @TaylorR1984 are newcastle going to do a harlem shake?” I'll try and organise 1, it's on the to do list Please don't

Toonpack
He was awful at LB. Truly awful. Yet he was part of the most frugal back four we've had for donkeys years start of last season, but aye, you're right Back fours are often better than the sum of their parts. He's better defender than Santon currently is. The likes of him and Perch are average players maximising what they've got, any squad needs some of them. Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Taylor told the Chronicle today: “I’ve always said my position is at right-back. “I’ve played there a lot of the time throughout my career and for the England Under-21s. “That’s where I see myself, but if one day the gaffer turned round and asked me to do a job in a different position, I’d be happy to do that. The College Dropout
He's a shocking defender then. Was horrendous defensively at LB.
Ronaldo
Ryan Taylor is a midfielder. He's neither a midfielder nor a defender, tbh. He's a set-piece specialist who can occasionally fill a random gap in the team without ballsing up.

Toonpack
15 clean sheets Aye, best defensive unit we've had performance wise, that I can recall, and yet the LB was shite defensively, laughable.

Toonpack
15 clean sheets Aye, best defensive unit we've had performance wise, that I can recall, and yet the LB was s**** defensively, laughable. He was ffs The results, when he was playing, would strongly suggest you are wrong (or clueless). So one of the back four, who performed better than any other back four we've had for ages, was shite, yet the aforesaid back four remains one of the tightest we've had for years. I'll take a shite fullback (by your yardstick) playing in a team not shipping goals any day of the week over owt else, seriously what else can be a meaningfull measure. You must really hate Santon I reckon.
Guest Phil K
From what I remember he was absolutely fine until the Chelsea game Agree with this and the above comment. But Taylor is like Shola. He gets criticism ALL the time from the majority, with short memories and a desire to fit in with the ones doing the calling

You must really hate Santon I reckon. I think Santon is good, and will become top class in a few years. Colo was the main reason our defence looked so good. That and Steven Taylor's good form, up until his injury. Even Williamson looked alright. Simpson saved us quite a few times as well. + Krul. How highly do you rate Simpson? The College Dropout
QPR game was emotional. Krul was amazing in that period. Jonas too.
Hanshithispantz
Taylor was poor defensively, he was capable of having a solid game but he was hardly the reason for our solid defensive record.
