"Bears s*** in the woods - Llambias"

Not enough spin TBH.  Should probably read more like this.

"Despite a great deal of investment and hard work from Mike Ashley and the board, it appears that bears still s*** in the woods.  It's a dissapointment to everybody concerned but we hope to rectify the situation with the next phase of our five year plan.  We are certain that if we just stick to our guns, the whole bear s***ting in the wood situation will be rectified promptly.  We appreciate the fantastic support from our fans who have had to put up with the s*** and hope they will stick with us through these difficult times"

You'll never top this beauty though.

"Following media reports this morning the chairman wishes to make it clear that Alan Shearer has never said to him that he would knock seven bells out of anyone."

NEWCASTLE United Managing Director Derek Llambias has been reflecting on the Club's relegation from the Premier League.

Mr Llambias said: "Being relegated from the Premier League is a huge disappointment for everyone involved with Newcastle United.

"We are all hurting and I feel desperately sorry for everyone associated with Newcastle United; for Mike, who has invested heavily in the Club, and for all the supporters who have given the team magnificent backing up and down the country all season long.

"Mike and I will sit down with Alan this week to discuss how the Club moves forward again, and I hope to be able to say more to our supporters later this week."

Thanks.

Sums Derek up really.

lets see:

IN:

Barton 5.7m

Rozehnal 3m

Smith 6m

Enrique 6m

Faye 2m

Beye 2m

Gutierrez , what was the settlement fee again 5m?

Guthrie 2.5m

Coloccini 10m

Xisco 5.7m

Nolan 4m

Raylor 1m

--Total: 52.9m

Out:

Parker 7m

Dyer 6m

Luque 2m(?)

Solano + Pattison 1m(?)

Rozehnal 3m

Emre 4m(?)

Faye 2m

Milner 12m

Given 6m

N'Zogbia 6m

--Total: 49m

So roughly 4m net spent. I know he has  payed off a shitload of debt but 4m net spend on players in two years time is pathetic.

Looking at that list they cut down the wage considerably.  So I wouldn't even look that much into that 4 mil net spend.

Don't forget though folks, we've been through worse. We must appreciate that.

I haven't. I'm looked down because I started supporting us just before the first Keegan era, what a bastard I am, being 7 in 1991.

Derek Llambias - Somewhere there's a casino missing a manager. I wonder if there is a football chairman currently managing a casino?

Still, to be fair, I guess we should blame the fool who appointed him rather than the fool who accepted the job he wasn't in any way shape or form qualified for.

Gobsmacked by that, honestly. Just don't get it.

EDIT: Well I get why he's done it, it's just the opening line in particular that gets me and the fact he's put Ashley before the fans in the wording of it. Bananas.

Could be worse, it could have read ""Mike and I will sit down with Joe this week to discuss how the Club moves forward again"

i really hope we see positive moves as soon as next week, theres no time at all to be wasted, the next 2-3 months are as big as any in the clubs history.

No qualifications for the job? A casino manager's job is to shaft punters out of their money while making them believe that they may have success. How much more qualified for the Newcastle Chairman job could he be?

If that statement came out i think I would actually laugh my ass off.  Either that or cry.

I'm confused as to why he even released that.

They've probably both had death threats. It really wouldn't surprise me if that was their sole motivation behind this announcement.

Mike: "Derek, everyone thinks im responsible for this, ive tried to win these fans back, but now I have no hope, ive royally fucked up"

Derek: "leave it with me, ill sort it"

Guest Alan Shearer 9

The statement alludes to them appointing Shearer as manager tbh.

But it was nothing more than what Shearer said in his interview. You'd think, this far in, they'd admit the figurative house had burned down and stop trying to tell people that it was all under control.

So by this time next week, the club will have given us details of what the plans for the summer are.

Shant hold my breath on that one

Me neither, but they REALLY need to make a decision on the manager sharpish, whatever happens. The very last thing we need is yet more uncertainty.

Its yet ANOTHER chance for them to show they have learned from their mistakes
