QBG
Not that I believe anything I read regarding the takeover anymore but I thought I would share this with you from Toontastic... Been advised there will be an announcement on Friday, also heard couple more interesting snippets, Shearer was definitely at the training ground when Assley turned up in his copter and expect John Carver and not Dowie. From a reliable sauce.

thewellander
It's only a matter of time before someone's ITK bulls**t turns out to be correct simply by coincidence.
Skirge
Law of averages......... Moat takeover done, Shearer in as manager before Carling Cup match.
Dave
It's only a matter of time before someone's ITK bulls**t turns out to be correct simply by coincidence. That's the only reason all these sauces [sic] are turning up tbh.
afar
If something does not happen tomorrow then I think it's too late for this season. We'll be down to the last week of the transfer window by then.
Frazzle
We need Moat to takeover so we can have a Geordie owner, manager (Shearer), assistant (Carver) and captain (Taylor). Not that I'm some xenophobic freak I just think it's nice in this age of multi million pound deals and foreign ownership to have a bit of local pride. Parky
Still not convinced Moat will buy the whole club (takeover). I have a feeling he will take a large stake.

Guest Phil K
Isn't Taylor from London? He grew up in our Academy, but I think he's not that "local" No. Well, everybody seems to think he's from down there - bunch of Arsenal & Chelsea Spuds and Everton fans were all discussing him and referring to the fact that "he's from London anyway" Doesn't sound that way - my family is from London, and we had more Lahnden accents than him (and we have/had geordie accents I hasten to add - apart from my Gore Blimey apples and pears Luv a deck mam that is ! )

Toon Amy
wasn't it just that his Geordie parents were down there for work at the time when he was born? Something like that anyway.

I'm similar in that I was born to Geordie parents but in Edinburgh, and moved back when I was 2. I still consider myself as a Geordie. Only difference is I'm a better centre-back.
