The Prophet
Very tactical. suprised by england....these 2 sides can be in the semis. best 2 sides ive seen in the euros so far. Although temp played a part today.
Dave
21-5 on shots; 7-1 on target. 634-307 on passes.
nufc4eva
What a boring fucking game. France need someone in the box tbh, Benzema and the rest play to much in front of the defence. England were just boring and functional nothing else
Village Idiot
Spanish commentators mentioning NUFC What did they say ? When Cabaye was subbed off and Ben Arfa came on, they talked about how they both played for Newcastle and the great season you just had, and how both were instrumental to it - particularly Ben Arfa after coming into the team. Guest
We played a good French side apparently.
Disco
Lucky! Bollocks! What did the French keeper do apart from pick ball put of the net? How does that constitute luck?
Guest MrSundlofer
Must say it was a very boring game. Disappointed with both teams.
ponsaelius
a good result for England, not a good performance mind, seemed a bank of 8 at times rather than 2 banks of 4 and Welbeck didn't offer much in holding up the ball I totally disagree on every point you've made there. Same, especially on Welbeck. Thought he did a very good job on his own, he's much more suited to it than Carroll and definitely Defoe.
Village Idiot
France out-Spainied Spain, incidentally. So much domination, so useless.
Guest BooBoo
Hart 7- Couple of smart saves. Couldn't blame him for goal. Johnson- 6- So uninspiring but coped ok. Cole- 7- Strong outlet Terry- 6- Rarely troubled Lescott- 7- Good header Milner- 3- Awful, just offers nothing at all. Parker- 7- Threw himself about a lot. Gerrard- 6- Great delivery for the goal, otherwise iffy. Oxlade Chamberlain- 4- looked completely over awed. Young- 4- faded after a bright start. Welbeck-5- fed on scraps Henderson-3- Jesus wept. Defoe- 6- looked bright

Guest gggg
Good point. I thought Ox-C was the only player who looked capable of producing something tbh What on earth.
Incognito
Incidentally, the ref was a bit of a Francophile was he not? Absolutement peeeessss poor.
JB
Lucky! Bollocks! What did the French keeper do apart from pick ball put of the net? I agree we didn't threaten much but we did defend well, no luck about it. When England have to get a result we won't playing anything like that. What does that have to do with this luck we apparently had today?
Ronaldo
Beckham would still be usefull for this squad btw. Especially when you consider the poor Gerrard-corners. Give over.

Ox beat his man on a few occasions and played a few neat passes.
STM
Jamie Carragher is embarrassing. Tearing into Hodgson at every opportunity. Thought England did well.

Dave
France out-Spainied Spain, incidentally. So much domination, so useless. That was my first comment after the match ended. All possession, no penetration. Dunno why everyone played in the same position for them. Nasri, Benzema, Ribery, Cabaye and Malouda were basically all on top of each other. In many instances Cabaye was the one furthest forward. England sat back a lot, but I just thought the France shape was a problem.
