England will 1-0 and will be known as world beaters for months until we get outplayed and battered by someone half decent  :)

3 forwards all prefer the centre so I'm not sure what he'll do.

That front three shouldn't be fixed as they all have good movement so should be allowed to interchange.

that

The vaunted 'cock and bulls' formation, made famous by Guinea-Bissau in the '74 ACON.

Cole's still the best combination of being able to defend superbly (the primary job of a defender) and being good going forward.

Baines hasnt and never will perform as well as Cole did through their CL win last year

Problem with Cole is he can't defend and attack anymore, he can attack fine if that's his only role and he can defend just fine if that's his only role but he can't do both.

Also i wouldn't use that CL run as an example as even Bosingwa looked good in that run because of how Chelsea defended as 11 men and very deep.

Not like any of this is relevant anymore anyway, Baines has performed better than in the league for a long time now and Cole is really only relevant because of his name.

Its not like Baines can't defend either.

Left back is England's only position where any debate can get at all heated, everywhere else can be discussions but mostly end in a shrug and 'whichever will still be rubbish'

Time to invent 'the double left back' formation
