Bit gutted I didn't put on Sevilla -1 which I was looking at. Was good odds too.

In the main we are good hindsight gamblers the reason being we remember the ones we thought of that we didn't back but come up trumps & forget the ones we looked at that lost.

Great goal by Sevilla, as I thought too good for Rangers. C'mon Peterborough you posh twats.

Fuck, 1-0 down as I speak!

Nope, 2 down

Nope, they were actually 1 down at that point.

Aye but they were 2 down when I posted.

I see, you are obviously my personal betting result indicator. Cheers. I trust you will be as quick to post when my next bet comes up trumps.

Yeah, can't believe Leeds threw that away tonight.  Especially with Charlton getting beat and then those 2 playing each other on Saturday.   Was real chance for Leeds to race clear in that League.

Anyway, 2 down 6 to go for me.

Won £37!

My rubbish streak is over!! Had to go back to the very basics and lump on an Arsey/Barcy double!

must've put about £50 on ?.

£100

Rubbish for my my "gambling skills" credentials, but I just needed a win/profit to break my recent run. I would be embarrassed, but... I'm just not.

A bit

It's a bit like a "system" of sorts for a Roulette table at a casino that I was once told of: Keep betting on black, and if you lose, double your stake. It requires capital to begin with [and you ought to start relatively small (relative to your own capital, that is)], and now I'm a bit older than when I first started betting [and a bit richer] I can afford to apply that same logic to football...

...and over the course of a season, the Manures, Chelseas, Arsenals of this world should see you make profit unless you're a particularly unlucky bastard. You need the confidence/balls to keep going when you lose though.

just put £70 on us to win the championship at just over 5/1.

takeover permitting, plenty of time to lay out if necessary

newcastle at 85/40 right now. should we win tomorrow and saturday and the price comes down enough, say 2.5, i may be tempted to lay us.

Safety bet saved me tonight; £35 on Lyon, Barcelona and Arsenal. Lost my other two bets worth a total of £30, so ended up just about evens. Considering I didn't do any research at all for the games tonight (which should have meant that I didn't put this much money on), I'm happy to be evens.

Leave it, we'll piss it. Wish I'd stuck more than a fiver on now, £5 on Shola to be top scorer doesn't look so astutue anymore either

you had Sheff Utd to draw against Ipswich?

Yes. People say the Championship is the worst division to bet on, it's the best. The league is so unpredictable that you get great odds. I don't like to put anymore than 4 teams on a accumulator because it then becomes almost impossible. You're best off finding the games with good odds, so I picked Barnsley at 18/5, Reading at 10/3 and then two 12/5/11/4 draws between Sheff U and Ipswich and Palace and Wednesday. I had two accumulators last week pretty similar to this one and 2 out of 4 came in on both, I didn't win them but I was only two teams away and the payout was good on both from only a few pounds at most. I think it's the most profitable way of attempting accumulators insread of predicting 8 games on teams you "think" will come through.  Go with the odds not the instinct.
