Crumpy Gunt
Police looked to gain a banning order on him to stop him from travelling to Holland but a judge overturned Northumbria Plods application for a banning order because Kevin Ball gave a character witness statement to be read out in court. It is beyond belief that SAFC by association, have intervened to get a known hooligan a reprieve from his banning order. Flannagan also has links with Feyenoords hooligan element and one of the reasons plod wanted him banned was because he deliberately taunted Ajax fans at SOL by wearing a Feyenoord replica kit. You would think SAFC would have distanced itself from such a thing, but alas no. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/Ball-backs-fan-police-wanted.5490776.jp

peasepud
Disgraceful. Yet our lot push to have one of our most ardent and loyal fans banned from football because he got into a spot of handbags with another Newcastle fan during a game. Many loyal years of supporting the toon home and away without a problem yet he gets banned for one incident in which many witnesses confirmed he didnt start. Crumpy Gunt
Every thread associated with it have now been removed by 'On The Buses.' Embarrassed by the actions of their talentless talisman no doubt.

I'd change your avatar before making posts like that True that like, can't argue. The mackems are as much an irrelavance to us as ever. Crying fucking shame though that they resemble more of a football club than us at the minute, but I'm just not arsed about 'em, don't care.
Crumpy Gunt
I know we are Newcastle and were supposed to hate the mackams but could we please stop making threads about them? I'd have made this post if it had been any Club supporting hooligans. The fact that it is the mackems makes all the more interesting because it is on our own door step and a few folk will remember the Fish Quay incident and thus will know the type of person this fella being supported by SAFC is. mattynufc
You would think the Dutch police wouldoppose him travelling really, after all surely it is their choice whether he is in the country or not. If he does travel it would be good to see something kick off, then the media couldn't ignore it.

nkcgd
http://www.sunderlandecho.com/news/Sunderland-fans-arrested-in-Dutch.5495848.jp Sunderland fans arrested in Dutch fracas Published Date: 27 July 2009 Eleven Sunderland AFC fans were arrested in Holland where the club was playing in a pre-season tournament. Five of those are still in custody, when they were arrested after disorder outside an Amsterdam pub. Another five Black Cats supporters were released after being fined for not carrying the correct identification documents. A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "The vast majority went over and enjoyed themselves and mixed very well with local supporters. A small minority were dealt with appropriately by Amsterdam police." SAFC took part in the tournament, which finished yesterday, along with Ajax, Benfica and Atletico Madrid. The mayor of Amsterdam had voiced fears about potential trouble between supporters as the Black Cats' rivals Newcastle United had a friendly match in Holland at the same time. But the issue was solved when the Football Association withdrew permission for NUFC to play.

Benwell Lad
From .com in their report of the Arsenal match, we know what it refers to. Amazingly still no action from the FA or SAFC for that matter regarding the persistant crowd control problems at the SoL. Does a player have to be seriously injured before they'll wake up ? We're delighted to report that the delirious second half goal celebrations here weren't accompanied by any loons making their way on to the pitch, shoving Arsenal players or generally showing themselves up as the inbred clowns they are.
