kingkerouac
I worked with a mate who was Charlton fan, he still laughs at the mere mention of Pardew's name.
Nobody
I worked with a mate who was Charlton fan, he still laughs at the mere mention of Pardew's name. And I laugh at the mention of Charlton.

David28
So, what does it mean, though? Is making no comment on the situation and seeing him train with the young guns better than it was the day before yesterday? I suppose so.

David28
Btw, does this mean that Pardew won't comment on him either in his press conference later today?
Mick
From Caulkin #nufc statement: "it would not be dignified, nor would it serve any useful purpose at this present time, for either the club or Joey to air their private issues on this matter in public". Mick
More ... #nufc "The club and the player have important business to focus on over the coming days and both parties have come to an agreement that we will not comment further at this time." Better than nothing I suppose. Edit: Saying that, it probably means he'll be away tomorrow or so.
Ketsbaia
Not sure who i want now: Barton: really good player, loves the club, but he's off in a year (for free) Barnetta: quieter, better player but needs time to settle, he'll still be here next year (or at least we'd get money). Heart says Barton, head says Barnetta. You say Barton i say Barnetta. BA, BArnetta, BArton, hBA......wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with Fabien BArthez, Milan BAros, Giles BArnes and Lee BArnard
Fenham Mag
More ... #nufc "The club and the player have important business to focus on over the coming days and both parties have come to an agreement that we will not comment further at this time." Sounds like they are trying to come to a compromise. My guess is he'll be taking off the transfer list in the next few days.
BottledDog
I worked with a mate who was Charlton fan, he still laughs at the mere mention of Pardew's name. I've got two die hard Charlton mates, and a Hammer. None of them have ever taken the piss beyond the nature of the appointment, instead, have had decent things to say about his potential, and the way their teams generally played. All three were to a greater or lesser degree dissapointed when he left their clubs.

Joe_F
So now they've found out £40 grand a week is 'ridiculous' for Barnetta they're making a reproachment with Joey.

Mick
I've deleted the Caulkin tweet as it's got nothing to do with Barton and put it in the Pardew thread.

ShearMagic
As much as it's fucking annoying for those of us who want to know what's going on, it was the smart thing to do.
The Prophet
Cynical but they've probably spoken to Barnetta and realised it will be cheaper to keep hold of Barton.
Hanshithispantz
Childish as fuck that he's training with the reserves like. Pardew needs to get a set of bollocks.
