Neil
Who cares about Joey Barton? Supporters of the club he left a little over a month ago? Just a guess.
Ronaldo
Nice edit. Not unless they're queer.
David28
Nice edit. Not unless they're queer. I don't think there's anything negative or 'queer' like you say really about caring about a player who's left the football club just over a month ago tbh. There were players I've stoped following immediately, like Cacapa or Emre. They went and were gone for good. In Barton's case it would always be something different imo. Especially for me as he's been my favourite player and the fact that I still like him.

Neil
Nice edit. Not unless they're queer. Some people are interested in certain former players and how they're doing. Barton's quite the character.
Dinho lad
Who cares about Joey Barton? True. I don't know why this thread keeps coming-up.

Cajun
You're favourite player after the one good season he gave us? Tbf I suppose we all love Cabaye and Ben Arfa after a hand full of games.
SiLvOR
Don't know how you can question who someones favourite player is. It's down to personal opinion.
Cajun
Just find it a bit odd when for 66% of their career here they were a massive waste of wages and we had players like Colo and Jose putting in consistent, brilliant performances. The vast majority wanted him out before the start of last season for good reason.
jdckelly
damned if I know what this is about or why he's commenting on Arsenal http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Arsenal-have-problems-at-the-top-says-Joey-Barton-of-Queens-Park-Rangers-article809742.html

The vast majority wanted him out before the start of last season for good reason. Fair enough, but then as I say it's personal opinion, I quite like Joey and find him interesting to listen to. He does seem to try a bit hard to fit in/not conform to being a stereotypical footballer as of late, but that's just who he is, a bit nutty FWIW I much prefer Colo

Well, according to him, if it wasn't for the Gervinho incident there may have been some grounding to it.
Ishmael
I suppose this depends on how 'interest' is interpreted. Barton doesn't need to say that kind of stuff of course. It's immature.
Mr Logic
I don't see what Joey would have to gain from saying Wenger talked to him if it didn't happen, except perhaps to prop up his own delusions. I don't think he's that delusioned.
Ishmael
I don't think Barton would make up that conversation. It has to have happened, but not transpired in such a way Joey would want us to believe. Or it did and Wenger wasn't portraying his true intentions.
