Neil
Congratulations David, for screwing us out of an easy £20m (or in other words, apparently £15m and Taylor). Would like to see where transfer funds will come from now.
Fenham Mag
Lescott just needs to get on with playing now and try and be is professional as he can. No one else is stupid enough to pay that amount for him.
themanupstairs
Man City end interest in Lescott!!! Good news hopefully. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha How screwed is Lescott now! In my opinion Moyes is an absolute numpty. Excellent. Lets hope its the knock on effect we all want. Was hoping Taylor himself would reject the move outright, would boost his profile at our club no end. I think it's bollocks tbh. Moyes will now realize he can't keep him unhappy, so will go back to City on the last day and say you can have him for 17m, and still be in with a chance to buy Taylor. It's not over yet. No one else is stupid enough to pay that amount for him. He should demand £100k pw from Everton. If Moyes thinks he's worth £20m+ to the club then surely he's worth £100kpw. Neil
Lescott just needs to get on with playing now and try and be is professional as he can. No one else is stupid enough to pay that amount for him. It's strange because when it comes to it, I think most fans would welcome him back into the team, providing his attitude was right. He did things above board, and didn't (publically) slag off the club. Still will be difficult though.
Ashley17
Lescott's burned his bridges like, I'll be amazed if he's an Everton player on September 2nd.

By then it's going to be late in the day for transfers and a transfer can be easily avoidable, or price boosted because we know they are desperate. KaKa
Congratulations David, for screwing us out of an easy £20m (or in other words, apparently £15m and Taylor). Would like to see where transfer funds will come from now. Moyes is an absolute crackhead. he's been shown up as an absolute amateur. This was a great chance to get money that was way over what Lescott was worth and hence been able to invest it all in the team and he has blown it completely. When you consider Everton don't have much money either it really is insane. Man City were desperate and Everton could have probably even got one of Dunne, Kompany, Zabaleta or Onuoha in return along with some money. This summer we've seen Wenger allow Toure and Adebayor to leave when the money got silly and we've even seen Ronaldo been allowed to leave when the money got silly. It's freakin' Joleon Lescott for crying out loud! £20 million! Epic fail Moyes.

They should go for Hangeland, a much better defender than Lescott and for almost half the price.

We usually get 7 and a half hours before our manager makes a complete tit of himself and a makes a mental decision based on pride.

What if any clubs he talked to were hiking up the prices of their own players knowing Everton were due a 20m windfall? Many things could have gone on behind the scenes, especially if there was going to be a transfer merry-go-round resulting from this Lescott deal. Everton could have easily got him in after selling Lescott for £20 million. That would have probably been an upgrade too. So many decent centre backs out there. Ocho
Man City end interest in Lescott!!! Good news hopefully. Where's this from? And if it's true, then Hughes is playing mind tricks, so that Moyes has to accept a much lower bid to offload him. Nasty tactics from City though. The transfer will probably still go through but City might get the fee down a bit now that Everton failed to grasp the initial opportunity.
