Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United 22/08/09 - pre-match thread

Recommended Posts

I would play:

                      Harper

Simpson  STaylor    Colocini    Enrique

RTaylor      Guthrie  Smith        Jonas

                Shola        Ranger

On a different note:

Anyone any idea of pubs near by that allows away fans?.  'The Albion' is home fans only which is on loads of their boards.

Apparently, Barton is still unavailable. Keeping with the unwritten Butt Rule--- if Nicky Butt can walk, he starts, I think the line up will look like this.

                    Harper

Simpson  Taylor  Colo  Enrique

Guthrie    Nolan  Butt    Jonas

            Ameobi  Smith

Players are staying at the Croydon Park Hotel if anyone wants to ring Taylor and ask him if he's staying

He's in his bathrobe and slippers now.

Does this mean he's staying?

Nah he was wearing blue Topman kegs the other day man.

Vince Hilaire's Afro - What on eath is he going on about?

"On all fours, zebra scum, it is time for the mighty Eagle of the jungle to royally impregnate you with the first seeds of defeat."

Reminds me of JayJaySea.

If they shut down Ameobi right now we'll be lucky to get a draw, thats the sad reality of it.

Our best chance of a win in this game is Guthie getting a good period of time on the pitch.

If not we wont create much atall. Butt will be as a crap as ever, give the ball away continually and lack the legs to make up for it.

I am going to go against my better judgement and predict a 2-1 win today. One thing we don't lack is the physical strength to compete so we should be able to keep them quiet and we are due an unexpected goal from someone like Ryan Taylor.
