Taarabt is a good shout, he's a rough diamond. Fantastic dribbler, good pace, just needs to lift his head up and look at options as his vision is fairly poor. Will be a quality player if he gets the right coaching and is willing to learn.

How can we buy him as that story indicates? Given that he has played for Watford & Pompey this season...... :idiot2:

That would suggest the story is rubbish but he would be a decent loan til the summer if we could get him

according to wiki he hasnt played this season for pompey (which begs the question of why they paid 3m for him)

Spurs would want £10m for him at least I reckon.

more probably levy is very tight when it comes to player out fees

Levy is also very focused on removing anyone on high wages from the wage bill if they're not seen as first team anymore.  Even if he has to sell for less then they're worth.  If Keane isn't a first team regular by the end of the season and a bidding war doesn't break out they'll be prepared to let him go on the cheap IMO.

Chris Hughton is preparing a £750,000 bid for Sheffield Wednesday defender Mark Beevers.

Preparing it, as in counting the pounds before he posts them down to Sheffield?

Meanwhile, Hughton revealed that he hopes to make progress in the transfer market this week and hinted that Marlon Harewood could be his new number one striker target.

“Marlon was one that we were always considering. He got better over the period of time he was here,” he said.

“Of course we will be making decisions because we have to.”

I hope that's as a loan and not to buy at the previously quoted £1.5m!
