He was never ever going to get a chance anyway no matter what it seemed. Bit strange the comments though in the context that he said all the right things before about fighting for his place etc all last season since being frozen out by everyone. It was disgraceful. It happened in the 70s, he wanted to go to Liverpool and later became a Newcastle "legend", Kevin Keegan's right hand man and is currently employed by Huddersfield Town. You couldn't make it up! The lad spent a year not getting picked from various managers, interims & caretakers because he is SHITE. If a players wants a move they should put in one of those things called a transfer request, he should not stop playing or say he is unfit at a time when the clubs had no senior strikers.
