Xisco's back

Can't fault him. Not his fault he was signed here by the old regime. Now he isn't going anywhere here and wants to go back to get his career on track.

People who are lynching him are out of their minds, put yourselves in his situation and tell me you wouldn't do the same.

Not like Luque or Marcelino who stayed for the payday, he actually wants to play.

Good luck Xisco  :clap2:

absolute hogwash of the highest order.

if you sign a contract you stick to it if you expect the other to stick to their side. lets say he was s***, would he have admitted it and said, "nah sorry newcastle, i've been s***, you shou;ld be well within your rights to slash my pay"...but no it doesn't work that way. the club have to pay him as per contract regardless of performance...he shouls fulfill his side of the contract likewise.

So what would you like him to have done then.

Have a guess.

 Bummed him senseless?

fulfill his contract and if he doesn't like it go through the official channels with a written transfer request.

Signs for a foreign club with the prospect of playing Champions League Football (that's what they told Enrique at least), a decent Spanish Under 21 International, turns up and the manager is wondering why one of the ball boys is wearing a training kit. He got shafted from the word go. It cannot be assumed he's a slacker, he's good enough to play for his country at U21 but not at relegated Newcastle.

The fact the top brass were trying to flog every one of our squad and he didn't go obviously tells you that no-one wanted him back after his year out. It would have been safe to assume on his part that a Spanish side would come in for him. No-one did and he thought his career was over.

Don't know why people are being so harsh on him. It'd be far worse if he insisted on rotting in the reserves.

he shouldn't be insisting on the reserves . he should be doing his all to get a regular place or putting in a  transfer request. if players want clubs to uphold their side of contracts then they have to do likewise. sooner or later players will be in for a shock when a club "does" a player over it.

Look I'm not here to score points in a petty forum squabble, but you cannot assume that he wasn't doing just that. IF he wasn't then I'm sure he'd be sent packing by whoever was running the club/team at the time last January, let alone this transfer window.

it doesn't matter. if players want the clubs to uphold their contracts no matter how shit they are then the players ought to uphold their side of it.

"I even stopped playing in the last few days to force my exit.”

I suppose when he "stopped playing to force an exit" that was part of his plan to "do his all to get a first team place"?

He wasn't getting much of a look in here, I don't know why people are so outraged or surprised by this.

it's the way he went about it. players today are saying that their contracts are there to protect them only but also that they can unilaterally tear them up. when players admit that their contracts should be altered if they turn out to be crap then it may be fair.

agreed. He was never ever going to get a chance anyway no matter what it seemed. Bit strange the comments though in the context that he said all the right things before about fighting for his place etc all last season since being frozen out by everyone. I do reckon there was more to it such as  appearance clauses.

Over many decades of watching NUFC I can only recall seeing one player who stopped playing on the park because he wanted to get a move. It was disgraceful.

It happened in the 70s, he wanted to go to  Liverpool and later became a Newcastle "legend", Kevin Keegan's right hand man and is currently employed by Huddersfield Town.

It's strange how things can work out.

The lad spent a year being ignored by the management, and because he wanted a move and stopped putting an effort in on the training ground he is being slaughtered by forum members who would have slaughtered him anyway had he just kept on picking up his £50 grand a week while being ignored for another year. You couldn't make it up!

The lad spent a year not getting picked from various managers, interims & caretakers because he is SHITE. If a players wants a move they should put in one of those things called a transfer request, he should not stop playing or say he is unfit at a time when the clubs had no senior strikers. He still is picking up £50K a week & I would say NUFC are paying most of that.

Not accusing you of being this, but does that mean that it's okay to be a homophobic racist if the people you hate don't hear what you say?

REWIND NANA!!! I was replying  to insanojackson post about " if we have spain based homosexual members on this forum".

If you watch a lot of Sci Fi where life forms get killed & planets with billions of life forms on get blown up for being a different race & you enjoy this does that mean deep down you love watching racist abuse & violence.
