Cajun
Hughton sent him on loan for the season when we had just sold two strikers while purchasing and loaning in other players. Hardly sounds like he wanted to give him a chance, didn't he say a few months ago he wouldn't play for us again too? Obviously that has probably changed if there hasn't been any interest. Guest toonlass
Kinnear ostracised Xisco within months of taking over. Gave interviews when he spoke about how many strikers we had and didn't even include Xisco. For a young lad in a foreign country at a club which was imploding can you blame Xisco for feeling like shit? He could probably see his career going down the tube, can you blame him for saying he wanted to leave? Now he is back I would like to see him be givena chance, especially in the friendlies. Yorkie
With some application he could be useful for us. Hughton's a good man-manager and we've got an excellent team spirit. If he wants to be here and wants to work for it - we might finally find out whether or not the guy has ability. Jury's well and truly out.

thewellander
I expect nothing from Xisco, so if he can contribute even in the smallest sense, I'll feel good about it. Would be hilarious if he ended up being a great player, though.
Yorkie
I think the most likely explanation of his previous time here, is that both he and Kinnear were about as bad as each other. There wasn't a hope of him having any impact whatsoever. There's every chance Xisco hadn't applied himself in training and preferred the bright lights, but in turn, Kinnear shouldn't have responded in the way that he did. He was still a foreign player with a wage slip, and he deserves the same treatment as the rest of the squad when it comes to motivating the pack. Kinnear was pathetic but Xisco only need look at one of his compatriots to see how to overcome being written off by a manager(s). Jose got his head down and reaped the benefits. Xisco quite clearly threw the towel in and stopped trying altogether, as he admitted himself. Hopefully he's had a bit of a reality check with another shite season abroad. He could be a changed man. He knows that if he's going to have a career in one of the big leagues, his make or break time is right about now. And Hughton will help him. I've literally no idea how it's going to pan out with him though.
