Village Idiot
Noticed that the Spanish rags after hammering us with the "Spanish Liverpool" all these years are now starting with the "Spanish Wigan". Nice downgrade.

Guest ObiChrisKenobi
This forum turns into a right state when people's emotions are running high. It starts to resemble RTG for the multiple threads about the same thing, with a slightly different topic. I know its the internet and everyone should be encouraged to discuss and that, but do we really need to start a new thread to discuss the same topic? TaylorJ_01
Yeah, reckon it needs a wee clean up. There's quite a lot of threads just now not saying anything particularly useful.

Incognito
Probably the best club manager in South America has quit Estudiantes, Alejandro Sabella. Wonder if any European teams will take a punt on him. Remember him playing for Leeds and possibly Sheff Utd in the late 70's.Canny attacking midfielder/forward. Nice downgrade. Eh? Can you explain both terms and the context? Don't really get it. When Benítez signed for Liverpool and started bringing in a bunch of Spanish players our press coined the "Spanish Liverpool" thing, and it became the most reported/fawned upon English club in Spain, which annoyed me to no end. I remember the buildup to the Istambul final to be particularly nauseating, with our papers calling Spaniards to support Liverpool. "Spain has a team in the CL final". What the f***? Now that Benítez and the Spanish players are gone, that fortunately has died out, and the next English team with a Spanish manager and a bunch of Spanish players is Wigan.
