Floored! The moment female 'sexism row' referee was flattened by football player... but was it a deliberate act of violence?

This is the moment that the female linesman at the centre of a sexism row is violently knocked to the ground by a Cardiff City football player

Defender Kevin McNaughton is seen running to keep the ball in play when he appears to drop his shoulder and steer himself into Sian Massey.

She is hit with such force that her head snaps back and she is flung across the pitch.

Ungentlemanly McNaughton simply gets up and walks away without even checking to see if she is injured, let alone help her up or apologise.

f***ing hell  Daily Mail is covering it. It's becoming a parody of itself.

You can see he changes direction to run towards where he'd kept the ball from running for a throw-in.

It also looks like he's trying to avoid the challenge of the Boro player coming in.

To be fair to him, it does look like he thought the ball was still in play and was trying to run after it.

If it was an accident, he would have helped her up and apologised.

Pure frustration, taken out on someone weaker than himself.

I've seen the video on youtube.  The wanker did it on purpose.

Completely changed the direction he was running and just barged into her.  Cowardly fucking prick.

Because he was trying to keep the ball in play. Do footballers all run in straight lines like?

He quite clearly tries to flick it back into play and run around her to get to the ball. She's in his path and they collide.

Also, he's out of shot for at least five seconds so he could be apologising etc then.

Complete non-story.

Oh, and it's hugely ironic that we're talking about the official that was at the centre of a sexism row and people are talking like they expect the player to suddenly be all apologetic and patronising towards her and not just get on with the game like he would if the official was male.

Shouldn't matter if they are male or female. If you knock someone over, you help them up and apologise.

I may shout an apology as I run back to position, but just imagine they conceded or something bad happened because he was spending his time picking up the linesman/woman, asking how she was, whether she wanted a cup of tea? no chance. Apologise after the game if it was that terrible.

On another note, surely she could've moved away a little bit? The plays getting pretty fucking close and she's just staionary. I was under the impression a linesperson had the skill of running sideways whilst still keeping their eye on play.
