How on earth did you find that?

Had it bookmarked from last season, I noticed the other day the page wasn't working. Tried it tonight to see if I needed to update my bookmark and it looks like that. :D

For American fans, foxsoccer.tv is now $19.99 a month (up from $14.99). They have added picture in picture, live chat, and iPhone and iPad apps free with subscription. They say the increase is because of these enhancements plus changes in the rights fees.

Well fuck. 14.99 a month was a bit excessive, enough for me to cancel it for the summer. I'll be jobless next season, in the middle of Chicago,  that extra five is going to be painful to shell out. I won't even use those features.

It is pretty frustrating, especially since I already pay $4.99 a month for Fox Soccer channel. I'll pay it without thinking twice though as long as it fucking works.

I wish ESPN would just get the rights to everything and put everything on ESPN3 that doesn't fit programming wise on ESPN2 or others.

They still have a yearly plan: $159.99 for the year - average of a little over $13 per month.  It is going up to $169.99 in August, though, so act quickly. That's the way I've done it and it makes sense since you'll likely be using it every month anyway.

Also, several people have said they'll be enhancing the site with new features, iPad functionality, etc.  Apparently they're taking it a bit more seriously and the quality should improve.  I hope so.

Hmmm, I already pay for Fox Soccer+, get FSC free with my FIOS package... is there really that much benefit to getting the foxsoccer.tv shit too?

For my part, last season I used foxsoccer.tv more than FS+ because so many of our matches aren't shown on FSC or FS+.  I know in previous years the only matches you didn't get live on FS.tv are the ones on FSC or ESPN2.  Even the FS+ matches were also live on FS.tv - so for me FS+ was redundant.  If they do indeed improve the functionality, it's well worth the money - think of it this way, you pay $15/mo for FS+ anyway, might as well cancel it and move the money over to the online - you'll get more matches for less money (if you do the annual plan).

And if you can get ESPN3 on your service provider, that and FS.tv combined should take care of just about everything you need.

It's great to be able to watch every match in a weekend, I was able to watch every Newcastle game because of it. The service is frustrating though, video can be sloppy and even unwatchable, but I still paid for it since I couldn't get that offer anywhere else. I don't really care about the new upgrades, PIP and live match stats will be nice, but I don't have an iPad or anything like that. The day they make a 360/PS3 app will be great. I know I'll buy it again next season since I probably won't have FSC, which even if you have, it's definitely still worth it.

Hmm, well I'm not sure. Half of the games were on FSC or FS+ anyway, and the remaining ones could be found... elsewhere... and if the quality isn't all that good, I'm not sure it has any benefits over the... other... onlne coverage.

It's always tough finding some of the 3PM games through different means though, there's usually a few games a week you can't get. They'll probably run a free trial the first weekend of the season, I'd wait and see how it looks then.

Watching Brazil v Scotland from the 98 World Cup on ESPN, Scotland deserved a draw like.

What do you expect when they've got Kevin Gallacher and Gordon Durie leading the line.
