I'd say they are about right tbh. Maybe more for Krul, but goalkeepers don't tend for go for as much as outfield players. Which is strange really considering it's a specialised position. Ba's value there is probably too high considering the ongoing fuss over his knee(s).

If De Gea costs 19m, then Krul should be going for more in my opinion (He's only 2 years older than De Gea).

This might actually be worthy of a thread since it would be a drastic change, but figured I'd put it here...

Apple Prepares Bid for Premier League TV Rights

http://www.thepostgame.com/blog/futuresport/201201/ipitch-apple-prepares-bid-epl-tv-rights

Apple could be set to rush soccer broadcasting into a new era with a revolutionary, multi-billion dollar bid for television rights to the English Premier League.

And it could have implications far beyond soccer.

The technology giant is interested in acquiring exclusive rights to screen EPL games in England when the next package (for the 2013-2016 seasons) is tendered. The Cupertino, Calif., company is set to wade into a bidding war with established television heavyweights such as Rupert Murdoch-owned Sky Sports, ESPN and Al Jazeera.

Using its platform of Apple TV, a small box costing less than $100 that allows users to stream internet content on their television screens, the company already showcases properties from Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and the National Basketball Association. But this is different.

By going for full English television rights to the EPL, one of the most lucrative sports products in the world, Apple could be signaling the start of an assault on cable's turf.

Apple's interest was first revealed by Charles Sale of London's Daily Mail newspaper and was confirmed to Yahoo! Sports by Apple sources on Thursday. The company is still in the early stage of formulating its bidding plans, but is keen to expand its sports packages and it sees soccer as a valuable way to gain a stronger footing in the British market.

Be amazed if that happens since practically no one has one of them boxes and I'd be surprised if they took off whilst Britain has such rubbish internet services. Wouldn't be surprised to see Al Jazeera get the rights though, to which I'm predicting people kicking off about Arabs coming over here and stealing our football television rights for ridiculous amounts of money.

The apple and google bids confuse me, would they start channels or sell it on to another channel whilst having paid streaming options?

Internet TV never really took off so not surprised they're giving a go, would be amazed if they got exclusive rights, everyone would have to rush out and buy the things, but would probably be very smart of them. Would be less surprised if Apple and Google both got non-exclusive rights to show it and did so to launch their services.

I've got one and it's brilliant.  I'm all for this as the north american channels that offer football are fucking terrible with their coverage.  I'd rather just pay per game and watch the lads play.  I really hope Apple is serious about this.
