ponsaelius
Said it before but he's very overrated on here. Spent big money for a League One side and failed to get them up. Went undefeated for 500 games so he can't be that bad. But only ended up about two places higher than when they started. You can go every game unbeaten and get relegated. Exactly, too many draws. Guest gggg
I can't see him getting Leeds up from the championship with no money if he couldn't get Huddersfield up from league one with plenty, especially has Simon Grayson had two promotions from that league. Big Geordie
Must be going to Leeds. Not sure if that's the best move for Clarky.
Dokko
Looks to me likes he's fuking up the promotion challenge again regardless of the unbeaten run the clubs been on.
ponsaelius
Huddersfield have big attendances and big budget for a League One side, plus a Premier League striker scoring more than a goal a game. I can see what they're getting antsy about ending up in another play-off lottery.
jdckelly
League 1 has some good sides in it this year, big sides all playing well so its an odd sacking
Dr.Spaceman
They fucking sacked him?! Is their chairman on meth?

Guest gggg
I cant see why Huddersfield would sack him, their doing well are they not? He was given funds to get promotion 3/4 years ago and they still don't look like going up, So i wouldn't say so. How long do you give a manager? You can't spend 10 years doing the same thing over and over again.
Dave
Btw they just lost at home to the club in the second promotion spot. Presumably the straw that broke the camel's back. Change needed.

Before that they hadn't lost in about 6-7 games. Being undefeated is good for morale but ultimately they'd have been better off winning three and losing the rest. Dave
http://www.htafc.com/page/FromTheBoardroomDetail/0,,10312~2611980,00.html LEE CLARK - A CLUB STATEMENT Posted on: Wed 15 Feb 2012 Huddersfield Town has today parted company with First Team Manager Lee Clark and his coaching team. Huddersfield Town Chairman Dean Hoyle said: "This was a very difficult decision; one not taken lightly or in response to one result. Concerns have been raised over recent weeks. "Lee and his coaching staff have put their all into the job over the past three seasons and he has made a huge contribution to the Club. "However with 16 matches to go we still have an opportunity to achieve promotion and we have made this change with this in mind." Huddersfield Town would like to place on record it's thanks to Lee and his coaching staff and wish them all the best for the future. Academy Manager Mark Lillis will take temporary charge of the first team until a new manager is appointed. Scared of not going up, basically.
