Couldn't think of anything better than beating Sunderland with Owen in their team.

Micheal Owen was the typical of the club we used to be, over payed, over hyped, uninterested and injury prone. Thank fuck we haven't got cunts like him in our side any more.

Mind you, i highly doubt he'll move out of the north west.

It makes you sick when you think about how much talent he actually has, and how little desire he's had for the past ten years.

To be honest he's about a tenth as talented as what people say. When his pace went his mediocrity as a footballer was exposed.

Absolutely Ronny.

I think Owen has a good brain, he knows what he wants to do with the ball in front of goal. However, it's been a long time since he had the fitness or desire, which is of course, all part of being a top footballer.

From .com:

His overall record after three seasons at the Red Devils is 52 appearances (34 as sub), scoring 17 goals. He made just six Premier League starts and one in the FA Cup with the other 11 starts coming in the Carling Cup and Europe.

Don't even know how he survived there that long. Never thought they'd give him a 1 year extension after the CL final in 2011.

Absolutely.

Not just that but his limitations were shown up at Madrid too.

He can't have been that bad. I think they got rid of him because we doubled what they'd paid for him only 12 months prior.

And didnt he want to leave because of the World Cup coming up (or Euro's?)

I remember a few times he was here he got one on one with the keeper, kept expecting him to shift his body - Top Corner. Only for him to hit it low straight at the keepers feet. Wanker.

He could stick the ball in the net though. Still has that knack for knowing where the goal is. I'm talking compared to the average bloke here as well.

He was decent at Madrid wasn't he, 16 in 30 or something? He looked absolutely class when he first joined us i thought.

I fucking hate him.

His first few games he was playing great for us. I remember that goal against Man City, against West Brom and of course, that hattrick against West Ham. Was all gone once he did his cruciate ligament at the WC 2006.

Says his next club has to be playing at the top level.

How do you expect a club who's performing at the top level to buy a footballer who hasn't played at top level standard for 7 years to sign you Michael?
