Danny Simpson (now retired)

Recommended Posts

Not sure how to post a picture on here but Simmo tweeted a reply to Wayne Routledge claiming Han Han was the best restaurant in Newcastle to which Simmo replied, "I will miss it lol." Make of this what you will but I just checked and the tweet has been deleted

It hasnt been deleted? He says its because he is off Carbs so wont be going back.

Collective silence from NO users.

Off to Wigan??

Wigan are favourites to sign the 26-year-old, who would cost around £500,000. That would enable him to return to his native north west, although a move to London could also appeal.

Could we not let them have Williamson also. Don't Wigan play 3 at the back, can't see how Simmo fits into that like.

Maybe they've realised that playing an open back 3 including Gary Caldwell and Emmerson Boyce is only going to end one way

Could be their excuse why they play 3.

"You want us to put Simpson out there?"

" :scared: "

Switching to a back 4 with Simpson there would be worse I reckon :) - don't they have figeroua that can play right back anyway? - not sure why they need Simpson tbh, he won't shore up their defence.

Never seen Figuero play right back? Has there ever been a left footed right back?

They play Stam as the Right Wing Back and he is miles better than Simpson

Ah right must have got mixed up, for some reason I thought he played on right for them, admittedly don't see them play too much

Doubt he'd want to move to Wigan anyway, but we can hope.

He's from Manchester though so can't see why he wouldn't.

Doesn't mean he'll move to any club within a certain radius of Manchester though. Seems quite confident and might reckon he should be playing for a team higher up than Wigan.

He'd be daft IMO not to wait 'til the end of the season. He's not going to get bigger than us so he might as well earn his coin in the process. Still, for £1.5m or whatever he's done a sterling job for us contrary to what the majority think.

Even less reason for complaint then. Signed to get us up, achieved. Then competent enough so he helped us kick on. Was never meant to be top 10 it just happens it's taken the club 2 years to realise this and therefore he cops mad abuse. Good luck to him if moves.
