Wullie
I'm no fan of Smith but the best thing about him in comparison to Butt is that Smith now knows his limitations whereas Butt sees himself as some sort of Andrea Pirlo character so he doesn't just give the ball to someone else having won it, he tries to play clever passes which inevitably result in him hoofing it out of touch. Why the cunting hell is he taking free kicks when Danny Guthrie is on the field? Guthrie's not perfect - see him pelting a free kick out of play after five minutes but he's the league's leading creator, set up another one today and with Ryan Taylor totally out in the cold (wrongly imo), Guthrie should be taking all the set pieces. Liam Liam Liam O
Special mention to the idiot Steward by access X today who insisted on checking every single ticket as people came up the narrow staircase causing people to miss the start of the match. Caused quite a problem with people being squashed etc waiting to get up the stairs.

Caused quite a problem with people being squashed etc waiting to get up the stairs. He stopped checking them 10 minutes prior, though the crowd to get up was absolutely ridiculous. And to add further annoyance, we got up there, and it was probably easier to go through the Y entrance that was totally empty!! Also 1 bloke for the bookies! Awful. And no beer! How has this place got a world cup bid?

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
was anyone else low down, to the left of the goal as you looked at the pitch? If so, could anyone smell some absolute rotten farts all game. A few of us picked up on it, but no-one admitted to it. Someone in our end blatantly had one too many sprouts with their dinner yesterday.

Big Geordie
With regards to the midfield (particularly the centre) - we just don't have the caliber of players that can take control of a game from the start and see it through. Ball retention, particularly away from home is dreadful. It invites un-needed pressure onto the back 4. Surely a creative midfielder must be a priority for the window, nevermind a new centre back or striker?

Big Geordie
So why has it not been addressed then Greg? The last creative MC we had was Emre, and he never played enough. Time to splash the cash, methinks - but that won't happen of course.

Thespence
I think when Allardyce signed Barton, he thought he would b be the creative/driving force in the middle of the park.
midds
Banging an old drum here like but we were fucking dreadful. We gave them a goal start, played some of the worst stuff I've seen from us or donkeys and still didn't get beaten. We just didn't look up for it at all and never deserved to win it. The unbeaten run continues and we're still 10 clear of 3rd after half the season. Can't see Forest, or anyone else for that matter, getting 10 more points than us in the remaining 23 games but we'll see. Overall - played shite, could have lost but didn't. Dave
Our goal difference effectively makes it 11 points clear of third. It would be lovely to finish top but as long as we keep that lead I really couldn't give a fuck.
Steggy
Enrique was a massive pile of wank today. Kept pissing about with the ball in dangerous areas and didn't get forward as much as normal. Can't knock the lad however as he's had a demon season.
Big Geordie
Greg - I'd take Viana back in a heartbeat at the moment. He's the sort of player we are crying out for. And as for Barton - he's a lost cause and cannot be relied upon.

Liam Liam Liam O
Apparently Hughton gave the squad Christmas day off, idiot. I assume they had a day off earlier in the week, when a few of them "could hardly stand up" on a night out in town at the start of the week.

Guest Mantis
Poor game and the players clearly werent up for it until they scored. Way too much messing about in the corner from Jose and at times Colo but put it down to a bad day. Sat in front row next to the SW dugout in amongst homefans. Driven mad by Yorkshire drivel and witicism about Carroll needing a haircut and too many foreigners. How I kept my mouth shut is beyond me. Would have loved to have seen Smith against the little fella o'connor in their midfield, would have been fireworks. Shite match, back to normal Monday hopefully.
