nufcjb
I Colo is out for a few games, Mike is 3rd choice CB then? Back on the bench perhaps?
Skeletor
Mike Williamson’s set to come in from the cold for #nufc – but not at a sub-zero Luzhniki Stadium. #sgaz http://bit.ly/Ycd5C7 However, United manager Alan Pardew is adamant that Williamson is still in his thoughts – and he is considering handing the 6ft 4ins player a role when dead-ball specialists Stoke City visit St James’s Park on Sunday. http://i.imgur.com/OXomD.jpg
Guest neesy111
Changed his tune from last week. Hypocrite.
Zach
Williamson was s*** against Stoke in the away game anyway.
Ishmael
I do not batter an eyelid to what Pardew says in the press. The intentions are never clear.
Dr Venkman
Changed his tune from last week. Hypocrite. This for me is a fundamental criticism of Pardew that I have. Yet again he is looking to set us up to "worry" about the other team Stoke are on a horrendous run of form, are a fucking awful team, we are playing at home, we have an international CB and he's thinking of putting Willo in. Its ridiculous, and certainly counters all those "he wouldn't play Willo if he didn't have to arguements I don't think Pardew's a particularly good manager and even I would be amazed if he decided to start Wiliamson over Mapou in any game. Miercoles
Sounds like bullshit to me.
Guest neesy111
Could be a bluff to get Stoke thinking?
Incognito
Let Stoke worry the fuck about us. Don't be selecting players to our detriment purely to cater for Stoke ffs, hope it is bollocks .
Chizzletooth
Surely he's been asked about Williamson and rather than say "yeah that's Willo finished here" he's found something encouraging to say for the players benefit. I mean it has to be, right?
Dr Venkman
You'd think so yeah.
Varadi
Surely he's been asked about Williamson and rather than say "yeah that's Willo finished here" he's found something encouraging to say for the players benefit. I mean it has to be, right? Bingo.
ponsaelius
If it's true and he selects Williamson to 'counter' Stoke it should be clear as day to everyone he's not worthy of being manager of NUFC.
Eddy Chibas
As an aerial defender. f***, for a bloke who measures 6'4, he punches below his weight, and that's due to a lack of athleticism. The killer though, in opposition to his inclusion against Stoke (to thwart them at set-pieces etc), is that he gets fuck-all purchase (or planned direction to potential outlets, away from the attacking mop-up zone where attacking mids loiter) on clearing headers. If you can't clear your line Stoke will kill you, by pouncing on messy second chance opportunities. It's Pulis' bread & butter strategy in attack. Elliottman
Williamson wont play on Sunday ffs.
Deuce
I'll believe it when I see it. Not even Pardew can be that thick.
Guest icemanblue
I'll believe it when I see it. Not even Pardew can be that thick. How long you been supporting us, mate?
Deuce
I don't think he's a very good manager. But I also don't think he's a total imbecile.
Guest icemanblue
Cool, that's great. Just wondering how long, mate?

Guest bimpy474
Ah.... a debate as to whether Pardew is so thick that he would rather counter Stoke's strengths than go with ours. Not getting involved in this one.
ExiledGeordie
If he played Williamson on Sunday with no injuries to Taylor/Mbiwa I'd immediately join the Pardew out clan
Wilson
It won't happen. What the fuck would Williamson bring to us that Taylor/Mbiwa won't, he's shit at winning headers, good at pulling shirts.
Ronaldo
Williamson wont play on Sunday ffs. thought the same about Shola on the wing He likes Shola, though. He thinks Williamson's shit.
Cajun
Not that I think Williamson would be an advantage I don't see why people think playing players that are more suited to the opposition is a bad thing. Do we think teams will not get near our box? Are we going to dominate games without the opposition even getting a half chance? Obviously Williamson isn't the answer and I'm sure he won't actually play (if everyone is fit) but I am sure all teams/managers will put some thought into their defence against every team they play.
