Wayne Routledge signs 3 year deal with Swansea

can´t see the point in a loan....we should look for a sale.....and buy someone better for the RW!

then we also have the option of moving barton into the middle if needed.

smith and guthrie are not good enough to start in the cm positon.....tiote, gosling (i would presume, havent see him that much) and barton is!

Newcastle were linked with Andre Ayew of Marseille last September.

Wouldn't be surprised if he comes in for Routledge.

Radio Newcastle say the move will be permanent if QPR get promoted.

That makes sense tbh. He'll do for them what he did for us and it works out decent value all round. He's a waste of a shirt in the premier but he's worth the fee for a side looking for promotion.

He's a "waste of a shirt" in the PL but making the move permanent if they're promoted makes sense? ???

If it gets them promoted obviously. The move will have paid for itself and then they can sell him to another Championship side once they're up on the same condition like we did. Hardly rocket science is it?

Or he could just help them get promoted and then they can send him back. No financial commitment beyond the summer, which is ideal if he's as shit in the PL as everyone seems to say he is.

Don't see why the club would even agree to that.

Well exactly. I don't know why we're sending him there in the first place.

Well maybe we've agreed a deal where if they get promoted, QPR will increase the fee to £8million to match what Liverpool were offering. If we are talking hypothetically at least my hypothetical crap has more substance than yours

So long as we replace him.

That's the most important thing here.

Yup.

But my reason for wanting Routledge to stay is my lack of faith that we'll find a replacement this window.

Whilst I don't rate Routledge at this level (6 Premier League clubs, 0 goals), it would be mad to loan him without a replacement definitely coming in. Him and Jonas are the only fit specialist wingers at the club. Ben Arfa's out for a while yet and may go up front anyway, while Barton is our only other option there.

This makes no sense at all unless someone better is coming in to replace him this month. Perhaps Pardew has been told to sell before he buys.

Ah right, cool.

I don't want Routledge to go out, unless we have another wide man coming in.

I actually wouldn't mind giving SWP a chance (preferably on loan first) - always thought he's a decent player and mainly gets criticised because he appears to be the streotypical "small, fast, no footballing brain" (possibly also because he's black) which is a load of bollocks in the majority of cases.
