Still not sure why we loaned him out. Great squad player and a good option to have with his unusually high level of pace.

Agreed. His pace was quite useful.

And if we want to run a 4-5-1, I don't know that there are enough healthy midfielders.

Easily confused with Lovenkrands though.

What's the difference between Routledge flying in the Championship and Taarabt flying in the Championship btw, to suggest the latter would be any better in the PL?

Taarabt's got better vision, is a better dribbler and a better passer than Routledge. Plus he's quite confident in his own ability.

Fair enough.

Was more aimed at those citing Routledge at Spurs as being enough reason to show he's not up for the PL, when they let Taarabt go just as easily.

He's part of that select group that excells in the Championship and does nowt in the top league. Rob Earnshaw, Carlos Edwards, Leroy Lita, Sylvain Ebanks Blake have all set the Championship alight and none next to nothing when up against the big boys.

Steve Bull for Wolves was another

Guy Whittingham.

He only excelled at Pompy the 1st time round imo.

Exactly.

Soz Midds, I thought people were naming players who were constanly good in the lower leagues & shite in the top league.

My mistake

Got to be said, he absolutely rapes The Championship.

I prefer to think he smashes it.
