James
OK, I know he has just hit the post against us so is slightly reactionary. But he has played well all season scoring plenty of goals for an average team. He is a better player than he was, and we are a worse club than we were, and I think he'd be a really useful player for us even if we get promoted. An immediate and cheaper upgrade on Nolan. In fact, if we could get him back, I'd instantly palm off Nolan to whichever desperate PL mug would take him. What are people's thoughts?
Mistle17
If we go up he'll just be yet another average player in our squad, equalling deadwood. Besides, he's too similar to Nolan for Hughton to go for.
Incognito
Yep...I'd take him back.

Besides, he's too similar to Nolan for Hughton to go for. Nolan with legs though. I think he's better than you think having seen him play a few times this season. Now he has finally gotten into the centre and shown what he can do, I reckon he could be a player that makes the difference both this season and next before becoming more of a squad player as he was for us before. ikri
Wonder if Palace could be tempted by a loan offer, pay his wages for the rest of the season, the administrators might be interested.
LesPaul
No thanks.
TRon
I wanted to keep him back then and said so here. Much like Milner he was shunted out wide when he was clearly better suited to centre mid. He's not top quality but is streets ahead of Nolan.

Skeletor
Sounds like a signing that would make Hughton have to drop one of his old guard. No chance of happening.
Exiled in Texas
Would Ambrose want to come back.....vaguely recall the feeling that he was run out of town (and not necessarily about his football skills)?

Dave
Why would anyone say no? Maybe because they have a different opinion to you. Just a thought.
Ronaldo
Fair enough, but he looked good for us and has proven this season that even in an average team he's better than anyone in our squad at scoring goals from deeper positions.

Guest toonlass
How will a 69 year old Brazilian make our midfield look any less like Dad's Army?

Guest
If we hadn't signed Routledge he'd have been an option down the right. Doubt he'd come to bench warm though.
SEMTEX
I didn't realise this was meaning Ambrose. I'd take him back in a flash.

Yorkie
Is he actually playing in centre-mid nowadays? I'll be honest and say i never even noticed him tonight until he sprung the trap late on there.
Guest
Same. His corners were shocking as well.
