It was as close to a goal as you can get. They had a few long range efforts and instances of the ball bobbling around our box without a red and white shirt in sight. But it's this delusion that anything negative is a mere blip, a rare event, a completely unexpected moment. As though they think they usually have a really good squad, as though they think that if they bought so and so, they'd be a top 6 team. They really do stretch their arguments to unbelievable lengths.
