I reckon he has gone. Apparent meeting today sounds likely, confirmed that the entire board were at the match so after a night of deliberating they've called a meeting Sunday, offered a compensation, probably half his contract and Bruce took it. During that time the news about Gary speed broke and they felt it the wrong time to announce this officially, but Walls have ears, it's leaked every slow slightly, bookies have got wind and suspended betting, while common folk here titbits from all over the shoplift some true, others the usual BS.

I'm certain he's gone and it will be announced tomorrow. What kind of ambition do you have if you get beat at home at this stage of the season off the club bottom of the league? Without his pal in the boardroom defending his corner it's come to a head and short is getting worried about his investment.

Bloody shame, cracking job steve.

If I had a quid for every rumour or posting that said he'd gone I'd probably have about four pounds.

I reckon Ian Holloway will be their next boss. Just a hunch. None of the bigger names will want it and Holloway stands out from the Championship and would probably relish a step up.

No reason why I'm disputing it, but I just can't see it meself. :dontknow:

If MON gets assurances of finances then I reckon he'd take it. But that's a big if.

@

@ArmourTank I am reliably informed that Steve Bruce is still manager of Sunderland. How long for is now the matter of much conjecture. #safc
