Broadsword
You can't blame Barton for the relegation man, hardly played the last part of the season.
madras
You can't blame Barton for the relegation man, hardly played the last part of the season. not solely to blame but he carries as much if not a little more than the majority of the rest. TRC
I blamed him for that challenge on Alonso. Forgave him after his performance vs the mackems.

Guest axel
I'd have Ireland here in a shot to be honest. Has the potential to be a much better Nolan. Just like Nolan and Barton were s**** a few years ago and have come good, I think Ireland could be the same. Barton Ireland Tiote Jonas Ben Arfa Caroll Lovely. Means we could pick and choose the games Nolan plays and rotate him and Ireland. I'm sure Ireland could play right side too, for when Barton is injured or more likely suspended. The key is always having Tiote in the middle, Barton and Ireland in the middle would be woeful against all but the poor teams. Tiote opens us up to being able to have a player like Ireland in the middle. Too bad Ireland only runs 100 yards every game.

Disco
Amazing fall from grace. No ta. The lad turned in a Fumaca esque performance against us earlier in the season.
Cunning_Linguist
Ireland would be a bad move IMO. I would rather have Cantona here instead of him
STM
I disagree about Ireland. Villa have been shocking this year and almost none of their players have come out of it with any credit whatsoever. I also don't buy the idea that he's a bad lad, isn't he the one who quit the Ireland international team because he was getting bullied for being bald? OK so he may not have a strong character but if he's a confidence player, we have the team spirit to help him get back on track. The lad is talented. A loan until the end of the season with a view to permanenet would suit both parties. A chance for us to assess how well he integrates and him to reinvigorate himself
Guest Shaun
Pretty sure Villa have said he would be a free transfer. (he's that bad)

We'd settle for alot of players if we were getting them for free/cheap. If we could get Ireland in on a cheap deal, or as you say a loan, that would be a smart move for the club. Guest taps01
The more i think about it the more i think that signing Ireland would be a good move. He is obviously very talanted. Would this be such a bad front six? I think we are one or two players short of having a very good team going forward. Carroll Ireland Ben Arfa Nolan Tiote Barton
Guest Shaun
No way, if it's a money deal. I wouldn't let them pay a penny for him.
Skirge
Villa are in deep shit and they want shot of him,, why would we want him here? We need strengthened in other positions first.
Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Is anyone sure if Ireland even wants to play football anymore? Guy's a total mystery.
Chase
I'd take him on a loan deal until the end of the season as I find it a little worrying how he can go from being so good at City to so bad at Villa. He may possibly be a confidence player in which case would he really succeed here, we don't exactly have a reputation for being the most patient of fans. Dr.Spaceman
If that baldy bastard brings that pink rimmed fucking arseholemobile anywhere near this club I will rant on this messageboard till my fingertips bleed.
JH
Was arguably the best and most talented player on the pitch in City's first 'big spend' season, which is why I'm surprised he was then dropped and eventually sold to Villa. He's been shit since like and would only take him if he really really promised he'd be back in form Doubt he would be like.
Hanshithispantz
He may be alreet in the 'hole' with tiote and nolan behind him (then again he may not), he was absolutely quality for City a couple years back and scored some cracking goals. Theres no way he just woke up one morning and suddenly lost his talent as a footballer. Would be a massive risk though so anything other than a loan or low transfer/free with reduced wages would be a big no no.
