Revolution Number 9
Taraabt's been voted championship player of the year. Anyone reckon he'd be worth a punt? Got a bit of a shitty attitude I hear, but fuck it, that's basically a prerequisite to sign for us these days anyway.

Didn't he say while at spuds that he was about to join Barcelona or Real Madrid? Harry Redknapp then took the piss out of him in a press conference saying the phone wouldn't stop ringing with enquiries for him. He joined QPR a week later. BeloEmre
NEWCASTLE United have decided not to pursue their interest in Ipswich Town wonderkid Connor Wickham as they continue to look for a suitable replacement for Andy Carroll. The Journal understands that deals are virtually in place for two international players to sign for the club as soon as the window opens in June, though it remains to be seen whether either of the pair are a striker, and nothing can be done until United have secured their top-flight status for next term. http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2011/03/23/nufc-close-the-door-on-connor-wickham-61634-28385363/ NEWCASTLE have been linked with a move for Wolves winger Matt Jarvis. http://www.journallive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2011/03/23/newcastle-linked-with-move-for-matt-jarvis-61634-28386689/
Flip
Wouldn't say no to Matt Jarvis. Been very good ever time I've seen Wolves play. Better than Jonas and our other wingers (oh right we have no other)...

durhamunigeordie
Jarvis is exactly the type of player we want at the club if you ask me, have said it before somewhere on here.
Big Geordie
Yup - he'd be a good signing, IMO. Pacey, tricky and he can deliver a ball.

Guest Flatline
I dont want huge signings, we are not in that position anymore. Cavani-type players are too highstrung, massive wages, massive transfer-fees and huge expectations. The rest of our team might not even be good enough to support that type of player. We need to sign 5-7 £ million up and coming players, if one or two doesnt fit in its not a huge downer. 2 strikers, 1 winger, 1 right back, 1 left back backup/replacement for enrique, a central defender to pair up with colo, and we are set for the fall imo. Forster New Colo New Enrique Barton Tiote Ireland Ben arfa New striker Best/new striker Sub bench: Gosling Nolan Ferguson Gutierrez Simpson Williamson Krul Nolan
AyeDubbleYoo
Signing 2 new first-team defenders would be a total waste of money IMO. We need backup for Enrique if he stays, maybe a decent cheap CB if nobody is ready from the youth/reserves and the rest should go on strengthening the midfield and getting us someone who can score goals. Which I am sure you would agree is unlikely to ever happen by the way. What a fit ireland can contribute with offensively is way beyond what Nolan can do, simply because he is not a good enough fotballer to do it. Ikon
Ferguson as LB backup is good for me. No matter how many players we sign i would 110% rather go for quality than quantity, by saying that i dont mean players like Cavani, unrealistic.
