JackM
Ba is a masive tw*t though, wouldnt be good for "the great bunch of lads" team spirit What's that based on? When he was at Hoffenheim he twice threatened a boycott to get a move. First time was when stuttgart came in for him ( i think). In the end Hoffenheim relented but he failed the medical so the move fell through. Instead of telling him to f*** off Hoffenheim gave him another chance. And then a year later he does exactly the same thing and tells them he never wants to play for them again. He then failed another medical at Stoke before West Ham came in for him. Ketsbaia
I'd absolutely hate to see Sunderland end up with Ba or N'Zogbia. Although if we're gonna be head-to-head with them on a lot of players, they're bound to win one.

Raconteur
Spin is arranging facts/things in a particular order to make a picture be perceived in a certain way. Trying to make an already thrown ball bend towards a particular area. Seeing as you ask, it should be pointed out that your list of facts isn't a list of every fact/thing that's happened since January, so obviously there's some selection in there. Furthermore, saying Barton and Enrique are here until at least June 2012 is like saying at 10pm on January 31st that Carroll would be here until at least 2015. True in a sense - the Liverpool deal hadn't quite gone through - but it was perfectly apparent that it wouldn't be true in half an hour's time. There you went trying to provide an example of spin, completely overshot the mark and landed in outright misrepresentation. Indeed, the bolder text is only a hair's breadth from deliberate falsehood...

To say all our players are going to be at the club until (at least) when their contracts expire, while wilfully ignoring all surrounding circumstances is patently absurd. It's also not even clear that it would be good news, seeing as a lot of people don't want to risk having unhappy players hanging around next season... taxfree
Two things to keep in mind with Ba: 1. "Stoke boss Tony Pulis believes Demba Ba is a ticking timebomb after West Ham agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal for the Senegal striker. Ba’s £7.1million move to Stoke collapsed when he failed a medical because of a knee injury, and Pulis said he could not have continued in good faith." 2. He's on £60000 a week. A very good player though, who on a free could be worth a check out.
