Guest Roger Kint
Maiga is anything but nailed on according to Pardew Source? Theres a Pardew quote from a few weeks back on here. Discussed for a fair bit in either the Maiga/Pardew thread iirc
taxfree
Still seems likely it's Maiga. If we go for anyone else, it should be Giroud.
thomas
Maiga is anything but nailed on according to Pardew Source? Theres a Pardew quote from a few weeks back on here. Discussed for a fair bit in either the Maiga/Pardew thread iirc I can't find the word maiga in the last 20 pages of the pardew thread (goes back to 2 Nov) and the last info in the Maiga thread is Maiga saying "I hope it happens this winter or summer." Was the quote about the player directly or just a general state on potential/lack of potential incomings?
Belfast Boy
Probably the wrong thread, but linked in the way that Alan Brazil is always saying Maiga is already signed. He was talking this morning about how he is always texting Peter Beardsley. I suppose he is the source of all this supposed inside info he claims to have. Ikon
Maiga had a decent start to the season but hasn't scored much lately, Giroud from the little i've seen and read seems to be the more natural goal scorer.
ExiledGeordie
If we do look for a replacement in the event Tiote is sold, I still think that replacement will come from abroad as with other signings and probably from France again.

If this does happen, and the replacement (if there is one) is someone like Scott Brown or Darron Gibson I would be disgusted. I would expect the club to stick with Cabaye and Guthrie, with Gosling and Abeid as back up though.

Hard to score when you don't play like.
Sifu
I still pretty much expect Maiga to be one of our signings in the January transfer window.

Merseyside Mag
De Jong had a superb first touch, control, and hold up play yesterday from. From what I seen anyway. Did miss a good chance mind, but don't we all...

Cajun
Seems a bit much but he is someone I have thought was worth a punt for a while (Along with Toons Taylor). Edit: Yeah reading the thread further it does seem like complete bollocks Out of contract in the summer though, would be well worth a punt either on the cheap in January or compensation in the summer. Disco
£4m for someone nearing contract end? More chance of me playing RB in Jan.
PENKAAA
http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=226224&page=12 Was that reported in the press? Or just a rumour? Thought you didn't like those Sewelly.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
I'd take Clyne.
Guest
Aye, £4 million seems a bit too much if he's out of contract in the summer. Never really seen him play tbh, seen lots of good reports about him though and a lot of people on here seem to rate him
Disco
£4m would probably be market value if he wasn't out of contract although being young it doesn't affect so much.

Ketsbaia
Clyne would be a good signing and I'm in no doubt that he's on our radar. £1m - £1.5m is more realistic though. Hopefully nobody else nips ahead of us....
Sifu
I'd take Clyne. Same but £4 million for a player out of contract come the end of the season is a bit too much like. Won't he be allowed to talk to other clubs in January in any case or am I thinking of FM again......

Hopefully nobody else nips ahead of us.... why is he reminding me of john ryan, jason drysdale, carl serrant. very good up and coming full backs who end up being a waste of a shirt ? not sying he is just we tend to fuck up with under the radar full backs. missed out on swanseas taylor, looks the deal to me with time and will; move on to a bigger club.
