Best of luck Messi. If Nadal wins today, are you getting any money on the 3 other teams or going for all or nothing?

Also, haven't had a bet in a while; Norwegian football is back, wahey!

Aye best of luck Messi. Is the Villa top scorer reduced if he's joint top, i.e. 1/3, 1/4? That said, if Spain are to win the thing, I can't see him not scoring again.

Googled World Cup top scorer and spotted this.

Football fan bet staggering £37,000 on Wayne Rooney to be top scorer in World Cup... but forgives him

A gambler who lost £37,000 betting on Wayne Rooney to be the World Cup's top scorer has said he forgives the striker even though he failed to get a single goal.

Businessman Alan Vaughan was banking on the England star to win him more than £400,000 if he claimed the Golden Boot prize for most goals in the South Africa tournament.

He placed the bet on with bookmakers Coral at odds of 11-1 and was confident of scooping a huge windfall thanks to the Manchester United forward.

But Rooney flopped spectacularly, failing to net once in England's four games before the team crashed out in the second round against Germany.

Mr Vaughan, 56, remained sanguine despite his heavy loss.

He said: 'I forgive you Wayne.

'I was confident he would come up with the goods because he had such a great season in the Premiership.

'I was just waiting for him to get among the goals - and I waited and waited but it never happened. If it had it would have been awesome.

'You always take a risk with a bet like that but I can't blame Wayne too much - it was a gamble which didn't pay off.

'And it soon became obvious that Wayne and England were not going to do anything.'

Mr Vaughan, of Haverfordwest, Wales, owns a chain of electrical good shops.

A Coral spokesman said: 'The bet was one of the largest placed with us for the World Cup.

'It was very unusual bet - especially coming from a Welshman.'

Quid on Haugesund, Viking, Brann, Zenit St Petersburg and HJK Helsinki pays £16.

All home and dry except Helsinki with ten minutes left. Can't decide whether to lay in play or hold out for the win.

Held out. You beauty. Small but good start to the new season. Only bad thing is that it's gone into my Bet365 bonus money which I can't get at until I've bet £60 using my phone.

Think my world cup betting is over, leaving it with a tidy profit so pretty happy. Spain Germany is too close for me and Holland could choke against Uruguay who are a very, very solid side. Klose top scorer is the only tempting one, 4.7 on betfair.

Canny :aww:

That's £189.8 from £2 btw, before anyone thinks it's £1898.

Also picked up a one treble and one quadruple today, making a tidy £310 profit all in all on the Norwegian matches, and then another £92 with Nadal winning. Good day today. :smitten:

(Since I'm not a fan of posting winning bets after it's happened, here's screenshots:)
