biggs
Would most Liverpool fans be happy with his return? After King Kenny's had his second go, of course. f*** yeah. 110%. We lay all of the blame for his iffy last season at the feet of the previous owners. Pretty much the only people who'd be against it would be the few oddballs who wanted him out long before then. Just checked his record and its not bad in the Premiership over the last few years but in domestic cups its shocking since 2005/06 and do you honestly think its a good idea him coming back after our debacle with Keegan ,it just doesnt work imho even though he probably thinks he was badly done too it will or would end in tears . Guest Heneage
Blaming the owners rather than Rafa. What a Kop out, he was shocking last season. His desire to sell Alonso to fund a move for Barry showed how daft he was.

Rafa was all about prioritising competitions, and he never thought twice about fielding a much weakened side in a cup (or the league if we were doing well in the CL) to keep his favoured side fresh for the more important games. Whatever his record in domestic competitions, under Rafa we were one of the very best sides in European competition. That meant an awful lot to us fans. Alonso wanted out at that point. Not much we could do about it. Spot on about Aquilani, though. Bizarre decision.

His desire to sell Alonso to fund a move for Barry showed how daft he was. Saw the BBC interview with him a few weeks ago. Said he wanted to sell Alonso because of the home grown players rule which was on the horizon. Reckoned he could get a fair bit of cash for Alonso and then try to get young english players with the raised cash. Should have got rid of some of the other rubbish first though before even considering Alonso.

Alonso hadn't had the best season, but he was pure magic the season after. Then he left

Guest ObiChrisKenobi
http://www.managementtoday.co.uk/news/1064581/basketball-star-takes-minority-stake-liverpool-fc/ When MT woke up this morning and saw that US basketball star LeBron James had taken a small ownership stake in Liverpool FC, we wondered if it was a late April Fool. But the deal makes a lot of sense. LeBron’s a huge star in the US, but not that well known outside it (except by basketball fans, obviously). Liverpool are one of the most famous football clubs in the world, but have a relatively small following in the US - and since they’re now under (good) US ownership, this looks like a great opportunity for the two parties to explore synergies and extend their brand reach. Though we can't help harking back fondly to the days when talking about 'brand' and 'synergy' in connection with your local football team would have been a good way to get a slap... AyeDubbleYoo
Dalglish added: "It is a blow to anyone but it's more disappointing for the player than it is for us, obviously. "We just have to get on with it and without being disrespectful to the players who are injured the most important ones are the ones who are fit. "They are the ones who can be chosen. At this particular moment in time I'm as good a player as Steven." Nicely unnecessary and disparaging from Kenny there!
Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Gerrraaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd out for the rest of the season. I was talking to the Rangers reserve team fitness coach (who's a proud Liverpool supporter) at a family birthday party last weekend, and he said he wouldn't be surprised if Gerrard announced himself injured during a training session. Said he reckons Gerrard has lost a lot of fight and bottle, he also mentioned he finds it odd that Gerrard never seems to get injured in a match and its always an injury in training or away from cameras.
