That would probably be interesting and would save it from being a puff piece. Behind the scenes in the last few months of King Kenny's reign and during a new incoming one could be excellent, but suspect it'll be less interesting, think 4 year plan they got a ridiculous amount of access most clubs wouldn't allow. (not sure why QPR did really  )

Ajax did something similar a few seasons ago. Their season turned out to be disastrous, which made the behind the scenes footage fantastic to watch, especially for non-Ajax fans. Here's hoping for a similar outcome.

Documentary was called "Daar hoorden zijn engelen zingen" if anyone is interested. Documented their centenary season 1999-2000, where they finished a disappointing 5th a whopping 23 points from champions PSV and sacked their manager (Jan Wouters).

Did the mackems ever do a similar documentary? What's it called, and which period did it span?

It was called Premier Passions as Pilko said. Covered 96/97 season when they got relegated . Most famous for the amount of swearing from Peter Reid and Bobby Saxton. There are some canny clips knocking about

The whole thing is on youtube, its over 3 hours.  I flicked through at random points, each time I stoped for a quick look see it was fucking cringetastic.  Seriously small time and small minded.

Vomit inducing shit, part 6,493

"It has got to come," he said. "We are Liverpool. We can't finish eighth. We have got to put that right."

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/steven-gerrard-confident-liverpool-will-finish-in-top-four-this-season-7981735.html

Righto Stevie,

I'm sure the likes of Spurs, ,Arsenal Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, Everton  and ourselves will all just step aside and allow you to finish in the top 4 because "you are Liverpool".

Fuckin' bellwhiff.
