Good result tonight even if we apparently played s***.

Fiorentina 1-2 Inter

Sampdoria 0-1 Genoa

1 Milan        25 15  7  3  44-19  52

2 Napoli        25 15  4  6  40-22  49

3 Inter        25 14  5  6  46-29  47

4 Lazio        25 13  6  6  32-22  45

Still think Milan will take the Serie A title, but proud that we've have given them such a scare since Leonardo took over.

Still open, and despite the Juve loss you are carrying the momentum and Milan aren't looking as strong as they did in 2010.

Napoli might nick it, would be grand.

Cavani > Maradona if they nick it ;).

:pow:

Wonder if a big European name will take a punt on Cavani in the summer if they can. Napoli might get the bargain of the season paying the €15m or whatever to secure his loan into a permanent.

I bet we'll bid again.

Just found interesting and useless stats:

Pato has played 943 minutes this season scoring 9 goals all in open play.

Zlatan has played 2014 minutes while scoring 13, 2 as penalties.

That means that Pato scores every 105 minutes while Zlatan scores every 155 minutes. You take away his two penalty goals and he scores every 184 minutes.

Robinho has played 1517 minutes scoring 9 goals, meaning he scores a goal every 169 minutes.

With that said, both Robinho and Pato are better goalscorer than Zlatan. And Brazilians rule the world. (useless stats, I know) but just shows how overrated Zlatan is as a goalscorer.

Yawn.

Zlatan is a better, more talented and a more influential player than Robinho and Pato. Ask the Milan fans.

Take him away and Milan would be about 4th, take Pato or Robinho away and Milan would still probably be top.

I like how you just discounted CL goals too btw

Ask what Milan fans? The real Milan fans in Italy have said that it's weird Pato doesn't get playing time. He was their best performer behind probably Nesta and Silva when he played last season. Ever since Zlatan got to Milan he has become a worse player purely based on the fact that he doesn't look interested, Pato that is.

This is from the Gazzeta dello Sportiva : 'Con Ibra in panca e Pato in campo il Milan avrebbe vinto la partita. Il doppio palo colto dallo svedese é in realtà un errore di Ibra. Il Papero l' avrebbe messa dentro.'  Talking about a match two weeks ago I think.

Btw, Zlatan looking useless today once again :pow:

Bias rubbish as usual.

Zlatan is the reason Milan are top the league. Pato is on the bench for a reason.

Pato is having his absolutely worst season for Milan and still scores more goals than Zlatan if you look at their playingtime/goal ration. Not saying Zlatan is a bad player, I'm just questioning why Pato is on the bench.

Last season Milan finished 3rd, and they had plenty of injuries and they had no new players such as Robinho, van Bommel, Cassano, Zlatan and so on.

Robinho scores again, but that was a handball. haha.

It's not just about goalscoring though is it. Zlatan has never been renowned for his goalscoring. He creates, scores, and leads the line for teams. He is an allround player and in that sense he has been Milan's best player. He is their top goalscorer in the league and the Champions league. He is also Milan's top assister.

Pato, Robinho and Cassano are all good players. Yet they're all behind Ibra in the pecking order for a reason, because when it comes to Serie A Ibra is always #1.

You say Ibra is looking poor, Pato has loads of games where he just sits on the periphary not contributing. This is why he is not trusted to start every week.

They're all behind Zlatan for two reasons if you want to be totally honest, one is his big name and two is the fact that he's the teams only targetman like player. Pato might not be more involved in the game, but his smart running and speed creates havoc and a lot of space too for his teammates.

At the end it doesn't matter, Pato will most probably leave in the summer with Chelsea and Real Madrid wanting to pursue him and with a real manager he will develop into a great striker.
