ExiledGeordie
There were glimpses of his old self yesterday, good tenacious play but still far too sloppy with the ball at times. I'm amazed people are saying we should just sell up though There's some amazingly fickle fan pov on here, haha
matta
Good when he does things simple. Shit otherwise.

ExiledGeordie
Yeah ever since he started marauding forward and shooting from long range or firing long passes it's all gone tits up. Perch looks a more assured and neat player who doesn't give the ball away sitting in the midfield at the moment but Tiote will get back to it, he's been awful but that's linked to missing too many games through suspension/injury. ATB
It´s Pardew that last season talked about him getting forward more I think. Like been said he´s at his best when just break up and release some pressure. I´m amazed about this selling stuff as soon as someone has a bad spell, especially when we all know what a small squad we has. I can´t explain it. But I think a lot of this has with him being to ambitious and being encouraged by Pardew to be more offensive. I´m still convinced that he still is a hell of a player that is important for us. Tooj
Looks like since Cabaye has been injured Tiote has taken his place as the underperforming overrated scapegoat.
Rich
time to leave No This thread breaks my balls. People have such short memories when it comes to player form.
Rich
I do agree that he needs to get back to what he was doing when he first signed FWIW, but people writing him off want their heads seeing to. Use him as a base midfielder behind two others and simply get him patrolling side-to-side, winning the ball back and distributing it neatly. I honestly don't mind the pirouettes either, when they're done in a controlled fashion at least. He's getting isolated in too many silly areas at the minute and his decision making has been poor though. Symptomatic of our team unfortunately. He was like a metronome for us when he first came, the difference he made to the team was incredible. I don't see why he's been moved away from that. Ketsbaia
It really winds me up when our fans tell him to shoot. They're directly affecting whats on the pitch and they know he can't get near the goal. So infuriating.

Dr Venkman
Considering a 'Stop telling Tiote to shoot, you fucking idiots' banner for the QPR match.
Guest bimpy474
Cant really see him listening or hearing the calls for him to shoot. Besides if that was the case Williamson would have stopped hoofing it by now surely.

Guest bimpy474
No one shouts pass when Williamson has the ball I was thinking shouts about not hoofing it, Surely someone must be shouting that at him ?. And i wasn't being entirely serious fwiw.

Dokko
he's been abysmal all season, a complete liability and offers nothing but trouble ATM. Saying that the player that initially burst on to the scene is still in there, just needs to get his ego in check and head back in the game but fucking off to Africa for a month isn't going to help causes. Lot of players doing their own thing lately, Lot of players not playing for the team IMO, he's one of them and it shows.

Lot of players doing their own thing lately, Lot of players not playing for the team IMO, he's one of them and it shows. Just reminds me of Pardew's quotes about wanting him to do more with the ball - to create, score and be an allround midfielder. Think that's more the reason than him doing it off his own back. It's completely hindered what he was good at in the first place.
Guest bimpy474
I actually think his poor form is his own fault. He is a player who clearly needs a run of games to get into great form. With all the suspensions he picks up he just can't get into a decent run of games to capture that form. That and as some have noted he isn't a playmaker/box to box/creative player. He is a holding player, break up play, win it and give it simple. Follow that and he is brilliant. Dont and he's a mess.
EthiGeordie
I can't believe I will be quite happy when he goes for AfCon. Hard to imagine that last summer.
Elliottman
He's notably been a lot calmer the last three games or so. Can see a massive difference in the way he has approached games. Just keeps giving the fucking ball away.

Guest hydeous
He's got to get back to releasing the ball early, especially when he's in a dangerous position. He's way better than Perch in positioning and passing. I'm not happy with him going to the ACoN but I suppose we'll manage. Just about.
The College Dropout
Perch's positioning and movement at CM is pretty bad like. He doesn't smell danger from there.
