Guest Howaythetoon
Tiote is a top player being badly used by Pardew who has (tried) moulded him into some kind of hard man terminator type figure. That and injuries and form have hampered him. The Tiote under Hughton was almost always very good in every game. That player still exists. Tiote isn't a defensive midfielder nor a hard man, he's actually quite good at breaking up play, giving it easy and getting forward to support. His best games come with him central, Barton right, Jonas left and Nolan just ahead. We need to replicate that, Ben Arfa right, Goufran left, Sissoko in the Nolan role. Then we'd see the best of him. We would probably need to replace Cisse mind....
huss9
Pretty sure Pardew is just easing Anita in tbh. he could try him at RB for the next couple of games

Ronaldo
He's certainly not Scott Parker, that's for sure. Parker's twice the player.
Mole_Toonfan
We was a mid table team then no one gave a shit, put this team back then and we would be screaming at Tiote the same way we are now. We are just more expectant and the team has gone forward with better players and need a different kind of player. He's been found out, you press him and he struggles and he doesn't move the ball quick enough or at least look comfortable and hold on to the ball for a team looking for top 6. he needs to get back to basics and keep things simple He's trying to but teams dont let him keep things simple anymore, as i said he struggles to hold on to the ball when teams press him and ends up just losing possession. Can't remember who said it but when City and Spurs started building their teams they had a Tiote like player and once they got better they moved them on for superior footballers. We need to do the same.
Guest nufc_89
Compared to Parker´s first season for Sprurs, he now keeps the ball to his feets way to long and does not focus on what he´s good at, easy passing and winning the ball back.
The College Dropout
He has become what Parker has become, a player who thinks he´s something he´s not. Wasn't his fault. He was positioned as our Gerrard. Hadd too much responsibility. Yesterday as is normally the case. Tiote's problem wasn't the "hollywood ball" myth but holding the ball too long. He needs to have his pass in mind before he goes looking for the ball.

durhamunigeordie
Done his hammy in training. No loss. Hardly. Might be in poor nick, after Man City we could potentially be perilously close to the relegation zone and then have 4 games in ten days, including the derby, 2 x QFs, it's pretty silly to say any 1st teamer is no loss - particularly given our already lengthy injury list. Especially when Pardew doesn't seemingly trust Anita and Perch isn't good enough to deal with the likes of Silva.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
Tioté hasn't played well for awhile. Gives Anita, Perch or Bigi a chance. We could also play Cabaye alongside Sissoko with Marveaux ahead of them in the number 10 role. NUFC.COM have "Cheick Tiote will also be absent with a muscle strain." Stifler
He's been a liability for a quite sometime now. An injury to him is a blessing in disguise, if it was any other first teamer I would be concerned.
