His quality of crossing when sprinting pass the defenders are acceptable - that's a very difficult technique.  What frustrate me most is his quality of crossing when there's lots of spaces created by Enrique's overlapping.

This is guy is clueless, the amout of times he stood still when Enrique was running with the ball was beyond belief.

Sums Jonas G up perfectly. Total waster. Actually positions himself behind opposition players so he doesn't have to accept passes. Hopefully Pardew will see through him. Would have been emptied long ago if Ben Arfa hadn't been injured. Jonas - take Shola and Lovenkrands with you through the exit door - I'll pay for the taxi - promise.

I can't remember him ever trying to hide from the ball.

I wanna point out here that the Enrique-Jonas partnership has been thoroughly studied by our opponents.  Just too easy to understand - they will just pass to each other without looking for any central midfielders to mix up their play.  That's the reason why you think Jonas is hiding - come on, you know Enrique is going to pass to him, Jonas is the only target, that's easy to mark.

I'm not sure he hides, he just doesn't know where to run to receive the ball. Somehow, after ten years as a professional footballer, he still hasn't worked out that a ball alone travels faster than a man running with that ball.

I think it's about time we brought in a specialist coach for out Wingers, even if it's only for 1 or 2 days a week and give them some 1 to 1 coaching.

Yep. And Jonas should stay behind every day for an hour to just constantly practice crossing.

It's not just that he can't cross, he can't shoot and he can't pass either. It's embarrassing, his feet are like frying pans, he can whack a ball in the general direction of where he wants it to go, but he's got no control what happens to the ball. Usually if he's to play a 15 yard pass, it'll end up bouncing and being a couple of yards off, making it very difficult for the team mate to do anything with it.

It wouldn't surprise me if he's the player who's got the highest percentage of giving up possession in our team.

Not entirely true as he has scored a couple of great goals for us, but on the whole I'd have to say that he's one of the blokes I'd least like the ball to end up with in front of goal.  It's like when we had Lee Clark and he had the nickname of Jigsaw.  He looks like a startled rabbit when he gets into a scoring area and will either give an easy back-pass or goal kick, if he doesn't get tackled first through his indecision.

For a winger his crossing is woeful.  Yes, crossing the ball at pace is a difficult skill to master but is one that most wingers are capable of.  Yes, he is playing on his weaker foot, but that is where he claims to play best.  Playing wingers on the wrong side is an option where they have a) a strong 'weaker' foot and b) have a great shot and scoring record when cutting in from the wing, but neither are skills that he possesses.

Both his feet are complete rubbish, man. He closes his eyes and hopes for the best when he strikes the ball.

I must admit, I clench up and close my eyes when he strikes the ball too.

I don't think there has been another Newcastle player that has been as big as a let down then this guy.  The way he played under Keegan, he was actually class.  I genuinely thought at the time he was going to be as good as Ginola
