Like Williamson and Simpson - he's just not very good at playing football. He's got other qualites, but these strengths are fading and there's not an awful lot left to work with.

Sadly true, his basic technique is poor and he's only any good when operating at full fitness and without fatigue.

And not at fullback.

Terrible post. Don't even know where to start dissecting that.

Aye, he's been shite, and for awhile too. But nowhere near as bad as that post.

As much as Pardew likes him, you simply play a LB at LB, you dont put a player in a position he doesn't usually play because you dont think he's good enough further forward now.

Worst kind of management this like.

I don't think the decision to play him was ridiculous, Haidara is very inexperienced and the atmosphere was likely to be very hostile. In the end it turned out a car crash obviously.

My father text me pre game saying "why Gutierrez left back?" and I called him to defend the decision. I expected a heavy tackling game, and after the last league game he played I think Haidara would have do well to stay out of it...

In hindsight, shite decision

He was at fault for two goals. Passing it straight to them and then coaxing the one trick that Adam Johnson has out of him.
