Realistic Transfer Targets January 2011

Recommended Posts

Jay Emmanuel Thomas on loan, Arsenal fans want him to get more games for them. Scored a quality goal vs Everton reserves. Could be a good impact player?

Thought he was a defensive mid?

Striker or a winger, check out his goal vs Everton reserves.

Pardew's told the Journal he wants someone else in before Stevenage. :omg:

We must surely be quite far down the line in negotiations with one of our targets if he is coming out and saying this.

Remember Kinnear and how many we apparently had down the line that time...

“We’re hoping to bring someone in. We’re down to the bare bones – injuries really are stacking up,” he admitted.

“We had to finish with ten men because of injuries to Steven, Cheik and Jonas. The campaign has been tough and to be honest we’re lacking conditioning because of the training ground.

“It’s something that we’re looking at but in the meantime we haven’t got a big enough squad to cope with it – we’re really up against it at Stevenage. We need to get a player in before that game.”

Why do we need a player in before that game? We should play with some of our reserves.

Guest Roger Kint

Maybe to prevent him being cuptied by his own club?

Maybe to get him in early and settle asap?

Maybe he wants him to get the feel of travelling with us and needs him as cover on the bench?
